I love it when affordable brands do a great product that rivals high end version of that same product. I feel Catrice nailed it with their new Pillow Plush lip mask. This is a wonderful lip balm type product that helps nourish the lips and I feel they released very much inspired by other brands that do similar product. Here is my review.

The Pillow Plush Peptide lip mask doesn’t come in shades or colors: it just a very intense lip balm that nourishes your lips and to me feels very similar to the Laneige lip balms I have tried. This is thick and a touch gloopy but I have been loving it in my morning routine.
Review: Catrice Pillow Plush Peptide Lip Mask
What’s best about this is the price point: at just €4.99 this is an absolute steal. Similar products I have tried go for 4 or 5 times as much and I love that we don’t have to pay that kind of money for such a basic product. This contains 12 grams of product and is available now from everywhere Catrice is stocked. At least in Europe, but I am hoping this will be released globablly as the new Fall/ Winter 2025 collection spreads across the world.
What does this product have to offer?

When it comes to skincare I love a peptide, so the minute I spotted this I knew I had to try it, just going by the name. According to Catrice, this not only contains peptides, but also hyaluronic acid. This is a thick, gloopy formula that is a bit sticky, can be used day or night, adds shine and gives a plumping effect to the lips. The brand claims this has an apricot color and a cherry scent, but to me the scent isn’t offensive (it’s very subtle) and the color goes on clear onto the lips.
How does this product perform?

My biggest pet peeve? The packaging. It is a twist up, but you can’t see how much product is still left and the area around where the product is dispensed gets messy very quickly. I prefer a tube so I don’t have to use my fingers to apply it, because this packaging is just too big to apply it straight onto the lips. And you need your fingers because the thick formula needs a bit of warming up for it to spread evenly across your lips. In terms of whether this product works: it does! I had a dry patch on my top lip when I started using this and it disappears within a week of daily use.
Should you buy the Catrice Peptide Lip Mask?

I think this is a wonderful little lip balm. Easy to use, it’s small so can be used on the go or for traveling and it is great for the fall/ winter season as my lips get super dry and this just gets the job done. I do wipe off the excess before apply lipstick though as that may be interferring with colors staying put and the longevity of your lipstick if you put it on before you do your makeup. You can use this day and night. I am just curious to see how long it will last in terms of usage. With 12 grams of product it sounds like a lot, but given how thick this is my prediction is that this tiny container only has a few weeks of daily use in it. I will report back when that’s the case in a future shop my stash.
