When a brand does a grey toned blush you know I have to try it right? Nuse, a K-beauty brand available through Yesstyle, is a brand that I have discovered because their blush offerings seem to be super cool toned. I decided to try their Liquid Care Cheek already and now I am testing out a handbag sized version of their Mousse Care Cheek blush. There is a stunning mauve shade AND a grey for mixing.

This blush is available in eight shades. There are two mixing shades: Up a white for brightening, and Down a grey for making shades more cool toned. The other six shades are the blush colors. They are all quite light and sheer but there is a range of both warmer and cooler toned options. But you can use the two mixers (and you could also mix the other shades of course) to creat your own custom shade. How innovative is that?!
Review: Nuse Mousse Care Cheek Handy Dimdumb & Down
I got these blushes on Yesstyle and I bought these myself this time. I was introduced to the brand by Robert Welsh who mentioned this combo in one of his videos and I knew I had to try it. They retail for around €12 each, but Yesstyle does sales frequently and if you use my code FLOATDREAM23 you’ll get 5% off your order. I can make a small commission if you use it.
What does this blush have to offer?

Not only is this a unique product, but the packaging is fun too. It is quite small as this is meant to be used on the go. The product is squeezed out of this clear ball that fills with color when you use it. It has a very smooth silky formula that blends easily. There are skincare ingredients in this product to help improve the skin over time and it should give a blurred finish that should not look weird on any texture or dry patches.
What does this look like in a swatch?

Here you can see the three shades. Above is Dimdumb which is described as a soft mauve. It is already quite cool toned by itself, but it has a hint of brown. Underneath that is Down. This is a straight up blue toned grey that the brand recommends to be used with the color shade. So at the bottom you can see the blush shade it becomes when you blend a bit of the two shades together. A beautiful greyish lavender that I think will look great if you have a cool undertone.
What does this look like on the cheeks?

Because I wanted to see what the difference would be like on the cheeks, I decided to use Dimdumb by itself first and then do the combo with the grey. So at the top you can first see my cheeks without blush on the left and with just Dimdumb on the right. At the bottom you can again see my cheeks without blush and then on the right is the combination of Dimdumb with a bit of down.
Now I don’t think the blush shade ends up looking super different. Probably because Dimdumb is already quite cool toned to begin with and of course I am wearing bronzer and highlighter underneath that might influence the shade. Overall I think adding Down to Dimdumb mainly makes it lighter and softer and more diffused looking. Both are pretty and longevity on this is great despite it being quite a slippery formula.
Should you buy the Nuse Mousse Care Cheek blush?

I think this is such a fun product. Not only is the blush easy to use, but it lasts well on the cheeks and the shade is stunning. If I want a bit more oompf out of my blush I can wear Dimdumb by itself. If I want to tone it down and soften it, I can use a bit of Down. I think both shades are beautiful and I think Nuse as a brand is one to watch when it comes to what blushes you can find.
