Kaleidos Makeup Alma Viva blush Pale Rose

When Kaleidos announced an extension to their blush range last year for their Alma Viva collection I knew I wanted to try more. Because I loved the formula of the original blush collection. Let’s try pale rose together.

The original blush collection existed of 5 shades: all of them quite bright and bold colors. There was a red, a bright pink, an orange and vibrant peach and a brown. The Alma Viva drop turned out to be much more focused on neutrals, which was right up my street.

Review: Kaleidos Makeup Mono Blush Alma Viva Pale Rose

At €16.82 these blushes weren’t the most expensive blush I have tried and they are also not super affordable. There are priced in the mid range. There are four shades in the Alma Viva collection and Pale Rose is the lightest shade Kaleidos does overall. The only place to buy these is the official Kaleidos website, but they ship directly from China so shipping isn’t too much.

What the product has to offer

The brand describes Pale Rose as a smokey mauve rose that has a cool undertone. A muted cool toned neutral blush? Sign me up! This is a lightweight formula that is easy to apply. It has a matte finish but it doesn’t look flat. Because of the light shade I feel I can pile this on and it never looks like I am wearing too much blush.

Swatches

Here is what the product looks like in a swatch. As you can see this is a very light cool toned pink. On most skin tones this will look ashy. On mine? One of the most beautiful neutral blushes I have tried in a long time.

As you can see this is a matte blush with a slight sheen. It blend beautifully but it has a very soft formula which can lead to kick up when you pick it up with a brush. Just tap off your brush if you buy one of the more intense shades, which this shade there is no risk of fall out.

So after seeing that light of a swatch you might wonder: but Maaike does this even show up? As you can see in these befores and afters: it most certainly does, but I think if you have anything deeper than my complexion this won’t work. And on my cheeks it also looks a little less pink. Just a beautiful mauve, cool toned flush that goes with anything.

Recommendation

Should you buy the Kaleidos Makeup Mono Blush in Pale Rose? Not if you don’t have fair skin like mine. If you do have fair skin? I would almost say: run don’t walk because this looks beautiful. While it may look like it won’t do much in the pan, I feel that on the cheeks this truly comes to life.

If you have fair skin I would highly recommend this blush if you are interested. It simply has it all: a pretty shade, won’t make you look like a clown and it has a great formula. I fell in love with this a lot more than I had thought I would.
