Did you know Essence has released a new skin tint? It may seem like they are a bit late to the party but Essence came out with some exciting new products for Spring/ Summer 2024 and this Skin Tint is definitely one of them. Let’s test it out.

So I have been testing this out for the past 2 weeks and let me tell you: this skin tint is a good one. It is affordable, it’s got decent coverage and for once the shade range isn’t the worst. That said, it’s still only available in 10 shades which isn’t a lot and most of them are only available online. So finding your shade can still be a challenge.
Review: Essence Skin Tint 10
The best part about this skin tint? The price point. It retails for €3.99. I swear, Essence is putting other drugstore brands to shame as every single one of them has been upping their prices. Yet, Essence stays affordable. Yes, the packaging is cheap but the product inside works well. This is one of the best base products Essence has come out with in recent years.
What does this skin tint have to offer?

With few shades available I opted for the lightest one: shade 10. This oxidizes backwards as it turns lighter than it looks in the tube once it is applied. The tube itself is a bit simple and you can tell Essence is skimping on packaging to give you a good quality product.
Swatched out you can see this has a lovely glowy but natural finish. This feels hydrating on the skin and it has a slightly thicker texture. Unlike other skin tints this isn’t watery thing but more creamy feeling. That had me worried as I was afraid it would easily pull into fine lines or accentuate dryness but it smooths over everything and stays put all day.
What is the coverage like?

Coverage wise you can see this skin tint does a good job of covering up my redness. It has a slight yellow undertone that helps but also the thicker texture means this product has no issue covering up any discoloration on your skin. It feels very pleasant on the skin. You might expect this to feel heavy with that thicker texture but it really doesn’t. It feels and looks natural provided you don’t use too much. This is the type of product where a little goes a long way.
What is the shade match like?

With shade 10 being the lightest shade and it working for me means there are score of people this won’t be right for. It seems to have some deeper shades which is great but the full range is quite yellow and there are not undertones. But then again: what can you expect for a foundation that’s under €5? It this would be a bit more peachy pink this would be even better for me but it certainly is a pretty product on. But it lasts all day without too much powder and looks natural and glowy throughout. This doesn’t do under for much more expensive skin tints I have tried.
Should you buy the Essence Skin Tint?

I was already hearing some hype surrounding this product upon release and I can fully understand why. This is a great product by Essence.
It is lightweight and natural looking. It is glowy enough to make your skin look alive but not to the point where you look like a greaseball.
The price point is excellent, the shade words surprisingly well and the formula is excellent.
This is easily one of the best products Essence has come out with in years and I highly recommend you try this if you are looking to try a skin tint that is both affordable and of great quality.
