Do you know those products you love so much that you end up buying more of them? That’s exactly what happened to me and the Glossier Ultralip lipsticks. I bought the shade Fête, loved it, so I got two more. These are Vesper and Pony: a berry and a nude.
I went with these two shades as they seemed to be right up my street. While a lipstick, the Ultralip is a sheer, creamy lipstick so even an intense shade like Vesper will still just give a light wash of color and we all know I love a mauve gloss for a nude lip. And that’s exactly what Pony is giving.

At €25 the Ultralip are quite fairly priced I would say. Sure lipsticks can be great and cheaper but I think the shade range is quite decent for such a sheer lipstick. There are some fun undertones in this range and I love the formula. I definitely think that as far as sheer lipsticks go this is something else.
What does this lipstick have to offer?
The best part about this lipstick is that it is the best of both worlds. This has the pigment of a lipstick, the nourishment of a lipbalm and the glossy finish of a lipgloss. The shades show up, this feels great on the lips especially in the winter time and it has decent wear time.
What do these look like in a swatch?
Here you can see the shades swatched. Vesper is on the left and is described as a rich fuchsia, which I would agree with. Pony is described as a rosy taupe and again I think that is an accurate shade description. As you can see this is sheer, but still pigmented and there is a fair bit of gloss. I love this formula so much that I am actually thinking of getting one or two more shades.
What do these look like on the lips?
While the shades may look patchy in the swatches, they go on evenly on the lips. In the swatches the balminess just doesn’t make this go on opaque but I feel you can see the sahdes well on the lips. These lipsticks last a good 2 – 4 hours depending on your eating, snacking and drinking habits but do require a touch up throughout the day.
Should you buy the Glossier Ultralip lipsticks?
I love this lipstick enough to get more shades as I just love how this feels on the lips. It looks great too. The brighter shades are like juicy fruit on the lips and the nude shade is just a great looking everyday shade. I think these are worth it and think more people should be talking about them.
