That same girl and that same blog are now celebrating its 10th anniversary! So it’s time to celebrate and what better way to celebrate than with a bit of a giveaway? So in today’s video I will be chatting to you about some new makeup releases, but al I also show you what prizes you can win. For more details, please see the post below.

How to enter the giveaway:

Leave a comment below in which you indicate which prize you would like to win (prize 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5) + a question for a Q&A.
For an extra entry: Subscribe to my Youtube channel & leave a comment on my New Makeup Releases video going live the same day as this blog post.

The giveaway is open internationally and open until 26 September 2020, midnight CET. After that date I will randomly select 5 winners (one for each of the prizes). The winners will receive a message via e-mail so make sure you enter your email address when leaving your comment. Winners will be chosen at random, or if they are the only person who selected that prize. Once contacted the winner has 48 hours to respond to the e-mail to claim their prize. Only one entry per person is allowed. Packages will be shipped with standard shipping. Hi, I’m so glad to find your channel and blog, mainly because I’m obsessed with eyeshadows too🤭

Congratulations again on your 10 year anniversary, Maaike! You already give us so much and now you’re giving more! I would love to try the Lorac Pro 3 pallet. Your love for the UD Naked 3 convinced me to buy it, even tho so many others were dissapointed with it. (What can all those medium to tan people advise us ghostly white girls about? 😜 ) So, if you say the Lorac pallet is great, I’m with you!
I would like to know at what level do you teach English? I know that schools are not divided the same way there as they are here in the US, but I’d like to hear about it. Anyway! Thank you so much for everything!

Congratulations on the 10 years of blogging. I’ve been blogging for only 2.5 years, but I’m sure I’ll reach 10 years before getting bored of it because I really like the process of making blog post. My desired prices are number 1, because I love Catrice so much and haven’t had chance to get Disney collection, or number 3, because I love my Zoeva brushes, but didn’t try their eye shadow formula.

Congrats on the blog anniversary! I am new in this world of makeup (starting to learn at 43 years old) and really enjoy how precise and good all your rewievs and pictures are. I also love your videos and have been binge watching every morning with my morning coffee for ages now. In theese corona times you are a true joy and happiness provider!
One of the really wonderful things about your content is the fact that you are based in Europe. I am so tired of american brands everyone raves about, only to discover they are impossible to get hold on from Norway where I live.

Oh, and I totally forgot to include the two questions in my comment! What will be a good and boring beginnes palette with everyday neutrals but not leaning orange at all, an not too gray either? For hooded eyes, so maybe not too shimmery. I find it difficult to find a perfect one.
What are the best things about living in your cuntry? (Everyone I meet from this place are so lovely levelheaded people, us west-coast Norwegians really tend to get along with you all.)

Hello! First of all, congratulations on your 10 year anniversary! I want to say that I enjoy your content to the moon and back and I admire you very much, and my question is related to that precisely. I’m also and English teacher and love, love, love makeup, and clothes and books and even though I’m extremely outgoing I still feel very self-conscious about having a YouTube channel and a blog my students can see. Do you ever feel like this? How do you overcome this? I admire you so much for this as I feel it’s a “fear” I can’t get over. My students are middle/high schoolers btw.

I can’t seem to delete or alter my previous comment. But I changed my mind, I’m never going to use the pops of blue in the BH palette. I’m going to accept that I’m just a pale neutral loving girl so…Lorac 3 is a better fit. I love all the looks I see with it and in your previous videos you convinced me this was a perfect match for a pale neutral lover…so changing my choice to option 5 The Lorac palette.

Congratulations on 10 yrs, Maaike! Yours is my favorite Beauty blog/channel by a LOT. It’s never boring and I learn so much. If I won, I’d have to pick #4, the ACE Beauté palette. I love the deep colors. My question for you is: Which decade or era is your favorite for makeup looks? I love the effort you put in your blog and youtube videos. I love the wide range of topics and all your reviews following the shop my stash. Ofcourse your update on the new Catrice and Essence collections is always really helpful, because these products are easily accessible in the Netherlands and I do like a good product at a drugstore price. Hi! Congratulations on the decade anniversary! I really applaud how versatile are your product reviews. When I moved to Germany 3 years ago, I was so impressed with the accessibility and prices from Catrice, Essence and Zoeva (also Makeup Revolution). I really trust your reviews and since I also have a light neutral (leaning yellow undertones) complexion, I love your highlighter and blush recomendations. I was a fan of the Eyeshadow Palette Extravaganza month!
As for the giveaway I would like to try Lorac’s formula, so number 5 is my choice. My question is: in this 10 years, we’ve all grown a bit wiser, so, have you found it challenging adjusting to the skin changes, specially eye makeup in general? For me it has been surprisingly challenging to get a thin smooth liquid eyeliner line, because my skin is not the same after 20 years of cat eyelinen (I’m 33 now). Greetings from Berlin

Congratulations on your anniversary! I tried to keep a book blog some years ago but that didn’t last too long, so 10 years is admirable.

1) This was a very difficult decision… I would have been happy to get any of them. But I choose #5, the Lorac Pro 3 palette. I have never tried their products and I don’t really have a palette like this, neutral with lighter shades. Maybe this palette would be the one that would help me to achieve the neutral, everyday look, because for some reason whenever I try that, even with very neutral shades, sometimes all matte, I usually end up with a look that other women might wear when going clubbing…

2) I’ve been trying to think of a question that would be easy to ask and maybe also answer (chatting would be so much easier) but anyway, let me ask this: you have so many eyeshadow palettes that do you ever feel like you are neglecting some? Because I don’t have nearly as many and I wear eye makeup several times a week, rarely the same, either, but I still almost forget some even exist and then remember that I haven’t been using them for months, if not years. (Though one reason might be that I now own palettes that are of better quality, so I prefer to use them, not the cheaper ones I had bought before, even though they are not that bad.) Do you keep some kind of record? Because I started to do that and noticed I could go months without using the same palette more than a week…
