It is time. Time for another declutter. I declutter my makeup collection once a year as I feel my drawers begin to overflow and it is just time to get rid of things as my preferences shift and I am stuck with a bunch of super old products that I never use anymore. We are kicking things off with my favorite category: eyeshadow palettes. Because why save the best for last? I will be posting my delutter in five parts and today is part one!
You did great! I only have about 15 palettes in all so not time to destash yet, but I have gotten rid of several singles. I do have this “Murphys Law” rule about getting rid of makeup, clothes and accessories. The one(s) you get rid of will be the ones you are looking for later! 😀 Of course, this isn’t always true, but I always worry. I think you have a good system, though, keeping a group of palettes for reference, videos and nostalgia reasons even if you never use them again.
I don’t see the point of hanging on to everything if I don’t like something, but stuff I like but that I have replaced by better/ newer palettes I don’t want to keep in my main collection but still want to hand on to. I actually have a box sitting in my office just for that purpose and it works really well for me.
