Talking about a long overdue review! If there is one concealer I always keep coming back to its the Collection concealer. This creamy concealer is raved about by many UK beauty bloggers and ever since I tried it years ago I’ve been a massive fan. But I never reviewed it, until today.

Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer 01 Fair & 02 Cool Medium
The reason why it is such a shame I never reviewed this, is not only because I love it, but also because it is dirt cheap. It retails for £4.19 at UK drugstores, which is an absolute steal. Unfortunately that also brings me to the one and only downside to this product: it is only available in the UK and unless you can find this on Ebay, not available elsewhere.

What makes me review this concealer now, is because I started using it again. It is just one of those products that I keep coming back to. It is easy to use, stays put throughout the day and hardly creases on me. The best part about this concealer is that a little goes a very long way: I still have to use up my first tube of the Fair shade.

The packaging of the Collection concealer is simple: a plastic tube with black letters and a cap. Inside, you’ll find a simple doe foot applicator with a soft fluffy tip. Not unlike any other concealers of its kind. The writing on the packaging easily rubs off though, so after just a few uses and especially if you chuck this into your make up bag, the packaging will look a lot grubbier and cheap than it looks when you first buy it.

I own two of the shades. One thing I love about this concealer is how light the shades go. Fair truly is a light shade and is perfect for winter and early spring (aka right now). Cool Medium is my summer shade. I bought this to replace a MAC concealer. Yep, it is that good. Cool Medium is the shade for which you will see swatches on my face below.

Fair – Cool Medium
As you can see both Fair and Cool Medium have a pink undertone. Cool Medium is a fair bit darker than Fair, but it is similar in tone to MAC’s NW20. Fair is closest to NW15. The texture of this concealer is creamy, not too thick and not too thin. It gives a good amount of coverage and a little goes a very long way.

Top: foundation
Middle: concealer applied
Bottom: concealer blended in
In this pictures I’ve used Cool Medium to show you the effect. As you can see there is a fair bit of blue tones in my under eye area and the concealer cancels them out nicely. I only apply two to three dots of this product on my under eye and blend that in. The result is a nicely covered under eye area that is pretty much crease free all day long.
I mostly use this on my under eye area, but I also use this on blemishes and on patches of redness. The Collection concealer is a true multitasker in that sense and one of the only concealers I’ve ever used that is a good allrounder. It doesn’t matter what you want to cover: The Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer will get the job done.

Full Face 4x
To prove just how much I love this product and for how long I’ve been loving it, I thought I’d place some pictures from sometimes way back in the day of the effect of this concealer. These are mostly with the shade Fair, and some of these pictures go back at least 3 years.
If you’re looking for a concealer that is a great all rounder, does what it is supposed to do, while being gentle on your bank account balance, then this is for you. It comes in a few shades that go nice and light, so if you’re fair like me, I find this one of the best concealers on the market.
