If you’ve been following my music of the moment posts, then you’ll know I don’t like your every day, run of the mill, type music. But now I’ve found something even more amazing: 1920s jazz. I already was familiar with rag time and Charleston music but the recordings are sometimes so awful that listening to it is a drag. But now I found that there is a soundtrack to Boardwalk Empire. Especially for the series, HBO had some old standards rerecorded to ensure modern standard quality. And I’m in love. Listen to both CDs in full below! And watch the series if you want to see some awesome quality TV series while you’re at it.
