I have been loving purple blush this year and the ultimate purple blush is the Fenty Beauty shade in Drama Class. So when they had a sale on I bought both: the powder and the cream. Today we are reviewing the cream version. This is my review for the Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out cream blush in Drama Class.
I have tried several purple blushes so far, but they are something not only hard to find, but also if you do find them, they often show up pink anyway. But I had heard great things about the Fenty blushes and they had a deal on a few weeks ago, so I decided to grab both from the official Fenty website as that is the only place that still seems to sell the shade Drama Class.
Review: Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out cream blush Drama Class
At €27 it comes with 3 grams of product, which isn’t a lot, but my experience with the other shade I already own is that I don’t need much to get an impactful look. In fact, Strawberry Drip I have owned for years and there isn’t even a true dent in there. So while you don’t get a lot of product, you don’t need much with these to get an impactful look. So it may still be worth it, but you can only buy this through the official Fenty Beauty website which if you are in the EU is a bit more expensive, but shipping and handling fees are all included. So no additional fees once the package is sent over.
What does this blush have to offer?
Let’s just discuss how pretty this is for a second. This is a great cool toned, purple blush. It is light, it is great for fair skin and the formula is easy to use. I just use my fingers with this. The formula can feel a little dry at first, but there is a little layer you need to get through before you get through the real creamy part. Then it is just a matter of dab, dab and you have it on your cheeks. It’s a satin, matte finish with a hint of glow, but still longlasting as well.
What does this look like in a swatch?
Where most purple blush seems to be more of a PH-reaction type of thing, this actually isn’t. This is a true true purple blush. You can see the finish of the blush here quite well: good pigmentation, a slight glow and still very very purple. For a cream blush this really is a longwearing option. I mean, I wear this formula in the summer, so you know that this lasts.
What does it look like on the cheeks?
Here you can see the shade on. How purple it looks on the back of the hand, that’s how pinky this goes once applied to the cheeks. It’s still very blue toned though so a great cool toned option, but not as purple as I had expected based on the swatch. It’s still very pretty on. In the picture below I am wearing both the powder and cream on my cheeks: each cheek has one formula on. The one on the right is the cream. As you can see Drama Class is the same shade no matter the formula. So you really don’t need both.
Should you buy Fenty Beauty cream blush in Drama Class?
I do really enjoy this shade and I think the cream and powder blush while the same, can be nice when used together. The cream as a base and the powder as a finish. But overall I don’t think you need both. The shade is nice, the finish is great, the wear time is amazing and overall this is a good bang for your buck. So yes, it’s worth it if you want a good purple blush but I do feel you can find something similar with K-beauty brands that is probably cheaper.
