Peripera is easily one of my favorite K-beauty brands. I don’t love all their products, but their Ink Velvet lip stains are so iconic that I just love checking out anything they do. In Japan I found display for the Syrupy Tok Cheek: a liquid blush with a soft dewy finish. I picked it up in shade 04: Sunshine Fig and it is such a great neutral shade that goes with everything that I just knew I had to review it asap.

I am not sure how recent this launch was as a lot of information about K-beauty brands isn’t available in English, but it seemed quite a new product in store. So I am guessing this is quite a recent launch. It comes in 08 shades and I picked up a shade that thought could go with everything. Let’s chat about it.
Review: Peripera Syrupy Tok Cheek 04 Sunshine Fig
First things first: availability. I bought mine from Loft, a Japanese store, which has a generous beauty section, especially if you go the big on (6 floors!) in Shibuya. They don’t only sell beauty though, but there was a floor dedicated to one half makeup and the other half skincare. So if you love beauty products and you are in Japan you can find some great things there. Not in Japan? No worries! Yesstyle sells it too. If you follow the link below and use my code FLOATDREAM23 you can buy the product too.
What does this product have to offer?

Before we get to the formula, we have to discuss the packaging. There were testers in store and well, let me tell you: I nearly spilled half the bottle. This packaging does require a bit of a learning curve. There is a soft squishy part in the bottle: you need to press that to dispense the product. Press to hard and it goes everywhere and you really only need one or two drops of this to apply it to your cheek. Once you get the hang of it, it is easy enough but that first time I would definitely be careful. My hands were covered in the stuff.
What does this look like in a swatch?

Swatched you can tell this is a dewy liquid blush. It has a very soft formula: almost skincare like. This doesn’t mess with the makeup underneath and I would recommend applying two layers for the best results. The shade is a great neutral and it wears well. For how creamy this feels I feel the wear time is especially worth mentioning as it doesn’t fade on me at all throughout the day.
What does this look like on the cheeks?

You can see here that it looks quite natural with just one layer of product. That’s why I now apply two thin layers to intensify it just a bit. With just two drops you can achieve a pretty full on look and I love how this is therefore workable no matter what you like: use one drop for a barely there flush and use two if you want some more intensity.
Should you buy the Peripera Syrupy Tok Cheek liquid blush?

I think this is a beautiful product. It is quite cheap and cheerful at under €10 and just overall a great little product. It comes in quite a few shades so there is something there for everyone. If you don’t mind getting used to some innovative packaging, then I think you will love this if you love a natural, dewy look cheek.
