Catrice Glass Like highlighter stick review

Can Catrice do a good highlighter? Of course they can. They have created many and I have loved about as many too. They are simply great at doing affordable highlighters that are often just as good or even better than high end. But can they do a highlighter stick? That’s what we will find out as we review the new Catrice Glass Like highlighter stick.

Good to know: this only comes in one shade. This isn’t your shade? Then don’t buy it. However, this indeed is a glass like formula, meaning it has a clear base that makes the highlighter work for many different skin tones. I think this can be worn by many people, but the strong gold undertone will make it best suited for those with a warm undertone in their skin.

Review: Catrice Glass Like Highlighter Stick

This product is really not that expensive: €4.99. That’s all this will set you back. And guess what? It is a near perfect dupe of my beloved Glossier Haloscope in Quartz that sadly expired on me. So until I get a chance to buy a new one of those, this will be seeing me threw the day for sure. You can now buy this highlighter anywhere where Catrice is stocked in your country, provided they already carry the new Fall/ Winter 2025 collection.

What does this have to offer?

This highlighter stick is very unassuming. Even in the packaging. The packaging is quite possibly the only thing that sets this back: it is looks an feels quite cheaply made, but the product inside it is beautiful. At face value this looks like a white stick, but it is when this goes onto the skin that it’s true beauty comes through: a flash of golden sheen with a transparent base to suit any skin tone.

What does this look like in a swatch?

Swatches you can see that this looks quite intense. I would classify this shade as a white gold: a touch of yellow to add warmth but also a platinum high shine that will make any makeup look sing. This is a cream product so it is best applied with fingers. I wouldn’t recommend using it directly from the stick: if you warm it up between your fingers you will get a much more seamless application.

What does this look like on the skin?

On the skin I struggled to capture the full beauty of this. Lucikly for you have been wearing it in some of my recent videos, so if you want to see it in live action you can! When this catches the light is when you see it best. That glass like effect truly comes through then. The transparent base means this doesn’t show up when you turn your face away, but BAM the moment the light hits it, this comes to life and adds a beautiful dimension.

Should you buy the Catrice Glass Like highlighter stick?

I think this is a beautiful product, but I don’t think if I was testing this out for a review that it would be a product I would even notice being around. While it is easy to use and it gets the job done, I don’t think many people will be looking for a shade like this at the moment. In fact, highlighter isn’t exactly a trending product at the minute, so I don’t think this is a must have in anyone’s collection, especially if you already own some highlighters in your collection.
