Melt Cosmetics Buzz Kill blush review

Say hello to Melt Cosmetics Digital Dust Duo Blush in Buzz Kill. This product is no longer around but it has been a standout in my makeup collection for some time and I just never got around to showcasing it in a full review. Time that I made that change, so if you want to have a closer look at a great peachy coral toned blush, then look no further.

So this was part of an older Melt Cosmetics collection and this blush has gone through a journey in my makeup collection, let me tell you. This went from a firm favorite, to being decluttered and put in a makeup memory box, only for me to miss it dearly and so I put it back in. Let’s celebrate the resurrection of Buzz Kill in my blush collection.

Review: Melt Cosmetics Digital Dust Duo Blush in Buzz Kill

The Melt Cosmetics blushes were not cheap. These retailed for around €38 each. I believe they came in three shades originally. I used to own two of them. I did review Raw Honey years ago, but somehow, Buzz Kill slipped through the cracks. I did declutter Raw Honey as it was not what I was looking for exactly, but Buzz Kill most certainly is.

What does this blush have to offer?

As boring as this looks on the outside, that’s how interesting it looks on the inside. There are two beautiful glowy peachy shades: one deeper and one lighter. The honeycomb imprint is beautiful and you could choose to wear each shade separately or you could combine them. The result is always a super glowy finish. For a while, I wasn’t into that. But now I am.

Here you can see the two shades swatched separately and combined. I certainly wear this combined most of the time. It has a lot of shine and even a hint of shimmer. It looks beautiful on the cheeks, but it is intense. These blushes are not for the feint of heart. A little goes a long way and it lasts all day on the cheeks.

What does it look like on the cheeks?

Once applied to the cheeks, the result is a beautiful peachy look that can go with many different things. I like applying this with a light hand and even use a blush brush that results in a very sheer application just to be on the safe side. I wasn’t into peach for a while, but when I decided I needed a good peach powder blush in my life again, I picked this one up in a heartbeat. So I was glad I didn’t declutter this one.

Should you get the Melt Buzz Kill blush?

I am sorry to say this is no longer available. You’ll have to go the resale route in order to find this. And especially if that means the prizes have gone up, I would think twice. Because while beautiful I do think it was an expensive product even when you could buy it at the original price.
