In this skincare review we are focusing on the COSRX Green Tea Soothing Aqua Gel Cream. I wanted to try this as COSRX is a much raved about k-beauty skincare brand and just the name itseld made me want to try it. I have dry skin so I want creams that are very moisturizing and hydrating. And that’s exactly what this is. Let me tell you more.
When it comes to COSRX their legacy precedes them. They have been around for 10+ years and pride themselves in short ingredient lists that create products that get the job done. This product is aimed at all skin types with a formula that hydrates and soothes the skin. This sounds like a simple moisturizer that does what it needs to do and that’s exactly what this product delivers.
Skincare review: COSRX Green Tea Aqua Soothing Gel Cream
This cream retails for around €25 depending on when and where you get it. I get most of my K-beauty products through Yesstyle and that is where I picked this up. They do sales regularly so you never have to pay full price for this if you don’t want to. One of the things I like about COSRX as a brand is that they have a reasonable price point that is neither too expensive nor too cheap. It just gets the job done.
What does this cream have to offer?
This is a gel cream which means it is a very thin, almost jelly like texture. It is green, doesn’t have too much of a scent and it goes on easily. The thin formula means this absorbs quickly, but still hydrates the skin. It is therefore great for summer as I feel that overloading the skin with product just means you’re going to sweat it out.

Water, Propanediol, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Panthenol, Tromethamine, Butylene Glycol, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Allantoin, Aloe Ferox Leaf Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Disodium EDTA, Hydrolyzed Hibiscus Esculentus Extract, Lupinus Albus Seed Extract, Moringa Pterygosperma Seed Extract, Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract, Melia Azadirachta Flower Extra
As you can see from the ingredientlist there are some soothing ingredients right at the top. However, most of the active ingredients listed on the packaging are in the lower half of the ingredient list. That means there is less of that ingredient in the product, not that it isn’t effective, but it’s still good to know.
What is my experience with this product?
My main take away from this is that it is a lightweight, easy to use formula that can be used in the day or at night and by pretty much anyone. In winter this won’t be hydrating enough for me, but in summer the thin formula means it is absorbed quickly and therefore it hydrates my skin just enough. The feeling is refreshing and I feel this is great for cooling down your skin after a hot, long summer day.
Should you buy the COSRX Green Tea Gel Cream?
I think this product is an excellent one. If you have sensitive skin, this may be worth a shot as I feel it really helps with adding the right level of hydrating while not irritating the skin. This product ticks a lot of boxes for me and I think I will be repurchasing this once I run out.
