The EM Cosmetics Color Drops Serum Blush is a great little product. I reviewed several shades before and Venetian Rose is a solid favorite in my makeup collection. Cherry Splash had yet to be graced with a review. Only to find out that they no longer seem to be selling this exact shade. There are similar things up but nothing this bright. I also decluttered mine since trying this as it was just too similar to other things in my collection.

This blush currently comes in seven shades. I have tried four of them: Pink Nectar, Venetian Rose, Rose Milk and Little Lilac. I only still have two of them in my possession: Little Lilac and Venetian Rose. The others I have passed on to friend and family as I also own four of the Apieu Juicy Pang liquid blushers and those I feel are nearly identical and a fraction of what this costs.
Review: EM Cosmetics Serum Blush in Cherry Slash
At €28 a pop, the EM Cosmetics Serum Blush is not a cheap product. It becomes even more expensive when you are in the EU. The only place I have ever been able to buy them from is the official website that is located in the US. The shipping and handling fees can be quite tough as they are some of the highest fees I ever paid for makeup from outside of the EU. So buyer beware that if you do choose to shop through them that you will end up spending at least twice as much. It’s why I haven’t tried anything else lately.
What does this product have to offer?

The EM Cosmetics blushes are unique in many ways. They were some of the first dewy longlasting blushes on the market, the dropper style packaging was unique and the little bottles looked cute to boot. But this product isn’t just about looks: the formulation was on point, the shades are interesting and the ease of use once you got the hang of it was actually quite excellent. It’s just that by now we have a million liquid and cream blushes on the market and therefore I don’t feel this is as innovative as it once was.
What does this look like in a swatch?

Swatched out this blush looks like a vibrant red before you sheer it out. But sheer it out will be what you do with blush so this won’t be this intense. You can easily control how much you apply if you just dot some on the back of your hand, but the dropper isn’t very precise so I do feel I get more product each time I use this than I need to get the look I want. I would not recommend dropping this onto your face directly as the emolient formula could mess up your makeup underneath.
What does this look like on the cheeks?

As you can see Cherry Splash in the EM Cosmetics Color Drops Serum blush range is a very pretty shade on my fair skin. It is vibrant, but definitely not as intense as you might expect. It has good pigmentation and my preferred application method with this blush is to use fingers. You can use a brush if you want, but I find the liquid to be thin enough that a finger actually allows you to be more precise. It just makes for the most seamless result.
Should you buy the EM Cosmetics Serum Blush in Cherry Splash?

As much as I like this, and the fact that you can no longer buy this, make that I don’t fully recommend this blush to you. It is definitely not worth tracking down, but the formula is very nice. I really enjoy the way this looks, applies, feels and wears on the skin. But are there many other cream and liquid blushes on the marker nowadays that give a similar effect that are far cheaper? Also yes. You really don’t have to go through the hassle of buying this, to get something that will look and feel the same.
