A niche perfume that isn’t horrible expensive? That is what Essential Parfums Fig Infusion is all about. The bottle is simple, the fragrance different from anything I have tried, yet still very wearable for the day time and I feel head over heels in love with it. I only have a small size, but if I ever run out of this, I will be buying the full size for sure. Let’s give it a review.

I came across this brand at Galeries Lafayette in Paris, but it is more widely available as well. This small size retails for €22 and contains 10 mls of product. The full size is 100 mls and retails for €88. For a niche perfume that is definitely not a bad price point for a more luxury fragrance brand.
Review: Essential Parfums Fig Infusion
So what does this smell like? I feel like the descriptions I can find of this online, don’t really do this justice. I get a sweet fig which is not overly sweet but that also has a woodsy, earthy element to it that grounds the sweeter fig note and really makes this an addicting, yet easy to wear fragrance. I love wearing this especially now as it smells fresh and clean which I like when the weather is quite warm.
According to Fragrantica the notes of this fragrance are:
fig, sandalwood, black tea, mandarin orange, cedar, orange blossom, clementine, benzoin, freesia.
This isn’t the longest lasting fragrance and I find it can be quite subtle. This is not the kind of fragrance that will fill up a room with its scent. It stays closer to your body and it just smells clean and soft. I love wearing it on easy days, when I am lounging around the house or after a shower if I just want to wear something. It is also a great ‘going to bed’ fragrance if you want to pick me up before you go to bed but that isn’t overpowering.
This fragrance is often compared to Gris Charnel which is my last fragrance purchase I made at the start of the year. So you can say I have a type. On me, Gris Charnel by BDK smells stronger, has more of a woodsy vibe and less of the sweetness of the fig. I feel this is a little les unisex than Gris Charnel is.
Should you buy this fragrance?
I think this fragrance is great for people who are curious after niche perfumes, but who don’t want to spend $250 on a bottle. They are a quite recent launch and have a whole range of fragrances that have the same clean look and uncomplicated scent profile. Fig Infusion was a stand out to me as it is an authentic fig scent but without it having too many ingredients to distract from it. I love this one for sure and think it is very much worth the money.
