Do you want to go to a city in The Netherlands that isn’t Amsterdam? Then maybe check out Maastricht. They have a great old city center, some interesting museums and a great bookstore that is located in a church. Talking about vibes! I took a day trip down to check it out for the first time and I had a lovely sunny day out in Limburg. So if you have a chance to head down south in The Netherlands then definitely check out Maastricht.
I had never been to Maastricht before, at least not in recent memory as it is a little bit far from where I live. I mean, I can go to Paris in as much travel time as Maastricht, so that is telling you something. But now that it is my goal to visit as many cities and museums in The Netherlands this year, I was like: right, Maastricht has to go onto the list for a fun day out. And fun I had! I walked over 16000 steps, visited a museum, went to the bookstore, had lunch out in the sun and had a lovely train ride as well.
