When Fenty Beauty announced the Demi Glow highlighters I knew I had to try it. Because I love me a Fenty Beauty highlighter. I have tested and loved their Killawat highlighter and the Diamond Bomb in How Many Carats and both are favorites. I have hit pan on both shades in my Killawat highlighter so you know it’s one that I have used a lot. So I was curious to see what the Demi Glow would have to offer.

I ended up choosing the shade Pretty Purlz. I feel it looks quite warm toned in the pan, but as you can see below this is far more cool toned than it looks. This shade was difficult to find though as it was out of stock for the longest time. And I tried on a deeper shade in store, but it just didn’t look right. So I knew going into this product that Pretty Purlz would be my shade out of the 8 shades available.
Review: Fenty Beauty Demi’ Glow Light highlighter in Pretty Purlz
At €39.90 this is not a cheap highlighter, but I feel this is quite reasonably priced for a Sephora brand. I just feel this is price a high end highlighter currently goes for. And there is something special about this formula too I feel. This comes with 4.5 grams of product, which is a bit less than most powder highlights, but I feel a little goes a long way with this, so I know I will get the use out of it for sure.
What does this product have to offer?

Pretty Purlz is described as a pearlescent shimmer on the website and that is how I would describe it. This is also described as a smooth highlighter with no actually gritty bits in. It gives a radiant look, but without turning you into a ball of shimmer. It looks natural yet radiant while feeling lightweight on the skin. It blends in seamlessly and the formula feels quite soft. Not one to chuck into a makeup bag because it feels a touch fragile, but a beautiful product nonetheless.
What does it look like in a swatch?

Swatched out you can see how smooth this highlighter is. It has a soft pearl to it which is absolutely beautiful on the skin. I also feel it looks far less warm toned in a swatch than it does in the pan. It seems to have more of a transparent base than expected and while it looks a little bit gold in this lighting on the cheeks this looks absolutely beautiful. It is a powder product so it lasts all day as well and it is super easy to apply.
What does it look like on the cheeks?

I often struggle showcasing highlighter in pictures as they can be tricky to capture. But here you can see the highlighter on my face quite clearly. You can see the beautiful shine, how there is absolutely not amount of shimmer anywhere and you can see that has a beautiful cool tone to it as well. In short, this is beautiful, longwearing and a great formula as well. Super shiny, but without the shimmer.
Should you buy the Fenty Beauty Demi Glow highlighter?

I think this product is absolutely stunning. It is soft focus yet high shine at the same time, has a beautiful shade range and it is longwearing. The formula feels very soft though, so be careful if you want to take this traveling or if you plan on taking it with you in a makeup bag. So is this expensive? Maybe, but it is definitely worth the money in my book.
