Blessed Moon Like a Shadow review

Did you know that K-beauty is one of the best at making glitter eyeshadow? Well now you know! Because it is true. If you are looking for the chunky sparkles that can be applied as is, without a glitter glue, then K-beauty is where it is at. Use it as a topper, by itself, for parties or the festival season and you will have yourself an ultra sparkly eyeshadow that stays put and doesn’t crease. Let’s review the Blessed Moon Like a Shadow in Black Swan.

The Blessed Moon like a shadow comes in 6 shades. I picked up Black Swan as it seemed to be the most interesting one. It has a warm pink base, but then it is filled with multidimensional and different sized specks of glitter. From super chunky to more delicate particles. The result is a beautiful sparky shadow that elevates any look to a more glammed out festive look for sure.

Review: Blessed Moon Like a Shadow Black Swan

At nearly €20 this is quite an expensive single shadow, but I don’t remember paying that much for it. I bought mine through Yesstyle and they do regular sales and promotions, so you really don’t have to pay full price for it. It does come with 3 grams of product, which is more than your usual size eyeshadow (which sits are around 2 grams). And I think shimmer formulas are usually more expensive to make than matte formulas to begin with.

What does this eyeshadow have to offer?

This eyeshadow is described as a sparkling eyeshadow that is enriched with glitter particles. It has a finely milled base that has a cream layer to avoid fall out and ensuring it to stay put, even when not using a glitter glue. It does have a powder finish which helps with the wear time.

How do you use the Blessed Moon Like a Shadow?

This type of shadow can be used in different ways. It is best applied with fingers because it ensure you can pick it up more easily. Just press it onto the lids for a full on effect, or swipe and then blend with a brush to sheer it out. This shadow has a sheerer base to it to let those sparkles shine so for me it shows up best if I apply a bit with fingers first before going in with brushes. My favorite way to wear this is as a sparkly top coat over an already laid down eye look.

What does it look like in a swatch?

As intense as this looks in the pan, as beautiful and dimensional it looks in a swatch. You can clearly see those larger glitter particles, but you can also see the high shine base it sits in. That base is what gives it a wet look effect on the lids. This makes this product excellent for throwing in a makeup bag: do you shadow in the morning with a basic look and just whack on a bit of this if you are going out for dinner, drinks or dates afterwards. It will instantly make your look more interesting.

Should you buy the Blessed Moon Like a Shadow?

I think this is a beautiful product. Is it pricey for what it is? Yes. Is it a product that can transform any eye look from day to night? Also yes. So it depends on whether you want to spend this kind of money for it to be worth it. It’s not a super versatile product, but if you are a bit of a magpie like me, you will certainly like this. Or if you are just looking for the impact of a glitter eyeshadow but without the mess, then this can be a great addition too.
