Do you have dry skin? Are you looking for a good loose powder? Then look no further, because the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r loose powder is the only one in my collection. Yes it is that good and I feel I need nothing else. Now I am not a huge lover of loose powders, so it is rare that I wear something like this, but of the four powders I currently own, this is the only one I own that is loose. Let’s review it!

By now the Fenty loose powder comes in a bunch of shades. Part of me wants to try the lavender, but knowing how much I wear this, I don’t think that would be a good purchase. This review is also for the mini version of the powder, because it does come in a travel size too. The large powders are nearly 30 grams of product, which is a lot. Just under 8 grams seemed more manageable to me.
Review: Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder in Butter
This review is for the shade butter, which is a light yellow undertone. I have the mini version which retails for around €20 over here. A full size is €39. So if you love a loose powder, then getting a bigger size is more cost effective over time. The packaging is absolutely beautiful and you get a little powder puff as well.
What does this powder have to offer?

The best part about this loose powder is how finely milled it is. It has a very smooth finish that feels silky soft which means this isn’t super drying either. It makes like work of setting your makeup in place and it can even blur some imperfections. I have dry skin personally, so powders can be difficult for me, but this one was an ace right of the bet.
What does this look like in a swatch?

For this to show up, I had to go in super heavily with the finger swatch. So this may look shocking, but if you pick up a little bit and tap it over the face, the effect is very natural. While Butter (the shade name) looks quite yellow in the packaging, I don’t think this is necessarily too yellow toned for my complexion. It can be quite mattifying though, so I don’t use too much to prevent things from looking cakey.
What does this look like on the face?

Here you can see a quick before and after of the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r powder. On the left is my face with just a bit of foundation and concealer. On the right is my face with the powder on top. I applied a bit more than I usually would so it would show up in the pictures. You can see it adds a touch of color, blurs imperfections and mattifies the skin.
Should you buy the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r loose powder?

I think this Fenty Beauty powder is a stunning powder. I have owned it for years and it has survived many rounds of declutters. So if you were looking for a good loose powder: I would recommend it. The only reason I don’t wear this more often? One word: hayfever. I sneeze the minute I open up a loose powder compact, especially in spring and this being so finely milled adds to the allergies. But that is a small price to pay for such a lovely product.
