When it comes to luxury lipsticks I think Charlotte Tilbury is a very safe brand to opt for. They do stunning products, the packaging is on point and the shade range is extensive. Not too great if you love cool tones like I do, but if you are looking for a go to everyday shade I think Charlotte Tilbury is a great brand that can really see you through. Today we are reviewing a Hot Lips lipstick in the shade Glowing Jen.

I used to own a bunch of Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks as I was a huge fan of the brand. Just a few years ago, in 2022, I showcased all my CT lipsticks in a video. I haven’t bought any new ones since then, but I have kept around the ones I loved on me and the ones that were less successful I got rid of. Glowing Jen stood the test of time and I love this shade on me. It is a warm rosy pink that is very flattering on.
Review: Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips lipstick Glowing Jen
Over time Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks have become quite expensive. At €40 these definitely fall in the luxury segment. I remember paying around €32 for my very first CT lipstick and I am shocked to find how much these have gone up in price over the years. That said, it is a great formula no matter what lipstick you try. There is a reason why this brand was my go to for lipstick for years.
What does this lipstick have to offer?

This lipstick is a satin finish in great packaging: you gotta love a bit of leopard pring. Hot Lips was a line that was designed with several celebrities in mind. If you buy this now, it comes in a refillable tube. The brand compares this to the KISSING lipstick in Stoned Rose (which I also owned at some point) but that was far more orange toned on me than this is. This definitely has that pink undertone, but on me I found it a touch too deep for the most part.
What does it look like in a swatch?

This lipstick not only has a beautiful finish, it also has great pigmentation. One swipe and you get amazing pay off, which means this lipstick is easy to apply. Since this is a satin it is not the longest lasting lipstick Charlotte Tilbury does, but it lasts a good 4 – 5 hours withouth touch ups. The brand sells lots of matching products as well, so they make it super easy for you to incorporate this lipstick with the other products in the range.
What does it look like on the lips?

On the lips, this lipstick is much prettier than in the tube or in the swatch. I find that it pulls less brown once on my lips. That is a good thing. In the swatch on the back of my hand it looks much warmer and darker than when it is on my lips. On the lips it looks like a warm rosy tone with quite a bit of depth. It has quite a lot of red in which is why this works on me. And that is how I wear it: as a neutral red for those days where I want a reddish tone but I don’t want a full on red. I had a lot of those shades though so in the end I decluttered this shade, but this is a stunning lipstick nonetheless.
Should you buy the Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in Glowing Jen?

Glowing Jen was one of the more successful lipsticks for me in the Charlotte Tilbury lipstick range. It has a stunning shade, stunning formula and decent wear time. Just an overall excellent product. In the end it was too similar to other things I already owned and therefore it had to go. Luckily I still have these pictures to look back on to see how stunning this was on me.
