Sigma Blush Bronzer & Highlighter review

Sigma has been a favorite brand for years. I have especially loved their palettes and their brushes over time, but I hadn’t tried many of their other products. So when the brand offered to send me some products in PR, I had to say yes. And when the box arrived they had pretty much sent me their entire line. So today we are reviewing their highlighter in Sizzle, the cream blush in Pashmina, the bronzer in Light and the powder blush in Sunset Kiss.

Now from what I can tell from other creators that did content with Sigma too, they sent the same box of products to everyone. And while all the products in there were stunning, I already showed you in a full face makeup look that too many shades were far too warm toned for me. So while all four products here are stunning and great quality, the shades weren’t exactly quite right for me.

Review: Sigma blush, bronzer & highlighter

Sigma as a brand is available from a number of places. The link below will take you to the official Sigma website where they are doing 25% off all complexion at the moment I am posting this blog post. However, you can find them through Douglas and Beauty Bay as well. These complexion products all have the same retail price: €32.95 a pop. The packaging is cute, if you have multiples it will be easy to tell the products apart and they perform well.

What do these products have to offer?

In my package I received a range of complexion products. I received the powder highlighter in Sizzle, the cream blush in Pashmina, the matte bronzer in Light and a powder blush in Sunset Kiss. The brand sells these as sets as well, so if you can’t choose what to get, they already do the work for you.

Sizzle is described as a rose gold and the highlighter comes in 6 shades in total. It is available in one lighter shade. The matte bronzer comes in 4 shades of which Light is the lightest one. The powder blush is available in 4 shades all of which look like warm peachy corals on the website. The cream blush is also available in four shades and again those are all quite warm/ brown leaning.

What do these look like in a swatch?

These products are absolutely stunning, but as I showed in this video right here, the shades weren’t quite right. That’s why this review doesn’t include any on pictures, because I knew I had to lightly use these so I could pass them on. None of these shades work well for my fair skin with a cool to neutral undertone. Sizzle especially was just too dark. Pashmina and Sunset Kiss essentially give the same look but in different formulas and the bronzer was far too orange for me.

What makes these products good?

Now even though the shades didn’t quite work for me, that doesn’t mean these aren’t good products. These are smooth and easy to blend formulas where there is no struggle with applying them. They work well, last all day and looked great on my dry skin. The powders are buildable but pigmented and the cream isn’t too slippery or greasy feeling. Overall these are well-formulated products that if they suit your skin tone will work marvelously for you.

Should you buy the Sigma complexion products?

I think these Sigma products are very solid, easy to use products. It’s why I still wanted to grace them with a dedicated review over on the blog. These are good products, I just wished the shade range was better and more inclusive. The undertones are all too warm toned and even from the shades I didn’t received I struggle to find anything that I think might look good on me. But if you have a warm undertone and your skin is light to medium toned then I think Sigma has some great options in their line.
