Today I though we could unpack the lack of cool tones in the makeup industry. For years now we hear: cool tones are back, but then release after release comes out and it really isn’t all that different and it’s just the same warm shades all the time. So let’s discuss why the cool toned makeup doesn’t cool toned on you once you get the products home.

Let’s discuss undertones, skin tone, lighting, cameras, filters and why it can be difficult to judge how cool toned a product might be without you trying it out on your own skin in natural lighting. Because that is still the best way to be able to tell if something will work for you. You can look up all the swatches in the world but unless you try it yourself you will not know what will work for you unfortunately.
