Catrice has new blushes out! They have finally released a cream blush and it was about time. I was so excited for this new release that I picked up all five shades to test out. Of the five shades I really only like two. One you will see below, the other one you can see going on in my first impression video. Curious about the other shades? I did try each one of them at least once and you can find all the swatches below too. Let’s review them.

The reason why I was excited for these is because I really wanted Catrice to finally come out with a good cream blush. They have dabbled a little bit in cream and liquid blush but none were truly 100% great. So I was hoping this would be a change. And it is! There are five shades: three matte and two shimmers. The shimmers are labelled as blush lighteres but the shades are too dark to function as a highlight on me. There is a decent range here, but alas, there is a severe lack of cool tones. So a shade extension would be welcome.
Review: Catrice Blushin’ Charm Blush Stick 010 Pink Sweetheart 020 Coral Cutie 030 Ruby Darling 040 Sparkle Lover 050 Radiant Honey
This blush is out now everywhere that Catrice is sold in at least The Netherlands and Germany. If you are in any other part of the world you will have to be patient as it can take up to a year for Catrice to release products around the world. These retail for €4.99 which makes them very affordable and a great addition to the Catrice range.
What does this product have to offer?

I decided to do a close up so you can see how much product you get: not a lot. But with these a little can go a long way. These sticks aren’t just blush sticks either. They are marketed as a multi stick that can be used on the cheeks and the lips. It is labelled as being travel friendly, but I dropped one of mine as you can see in the picture above and the blush fell out immediately. Not sure these would survive a makeup bag, let alone international travel.
What do these look like in a swatch?

020 Coral Cutie
030 Ruby Darling
040 Sparkle Lover
050 Radiant Honey
Swatched out you can see a clear difference in intensity between the first three shades and the latter two. All of these are quite warm leaning, save for shade 030 Ruby Darling, but that is definitely meant more so for deeper skin tones than mine. The two blush lighter shades are therefore my favorite. Yes they are sheer, but the build up beautifully and the shade Radiant Honey has been my go to all month for a great everyday cheek look that is easy to apply.
What does this look like on the cheeks?

These blush sticks have a very rich and creamy formula. I like to apply my blush sticks by rubbing them against my finger tip, then rubbing my finger tips together and then tapping on the blush with fingers. This always works no matter how sheer or intense a blush is. I would not apply these straight from the stick as I feel the formula needs warming up for it to become emolient enough to be easy enough to blend. Once applied this blush lasts all day on my dry skin and it looks amazing on. I am wearing 050 Radiant Honey in this close up but I did try all the shades over the past month and their longevity and formula is consistent from shade to shade.
Should you buy the Catrice Blushin’ Charm stick?

I think Catrice has released a killer blush stick formula that really can do no wrong. Easy to use, longlasting, blendable and pretty shades make this a great product for many people who want a blush stick, but don’t want it to break the bank. I only wished this shade range was better. There are hardly any cool toned shades and the level of warmth made all of these look nearly identical.
The pink pulls coral on me, the orange is just that and the soft peachy pink blush lighter looked too peach for me as well. The two shades that do stand out to me are too similar to things I already owned. So yes to the formula and wear time, but if Catrice extends the shade range to be more inclusive and exciting this would be an even better bargain.
