Colourpop Supershock eyeshadows are some of my longstanding favorite makeup products. I have reviewed quite a few shades over the years, but I love the neutral one and done shadows the best. Sailor is one of those favorites that I acquired a bit later on. Let’s review it.

The Supershock shadows come in so many different shades. There are now 50 shades to choose from. Sailor is described as a warm beige, but it has a very pretty cool toned sparkle that looks blue combined with the right shade underneath. So this is one that can look different every time you pair it with a different shade, making it much more versatile.
Review: Colourpop Supershock in Sailor
The best way to shop Colourpop is their official website. It can be expensive if you’re in Europe, but with a sale on it can be okay if you can get free shipping. Luckily this Supershock shadow is very affordable at just $7. I have tried many shades over time and by now I can say that this is a very good deal if you want a great, sparkly shade that can spice up any look.
What does this product have to offer?

As with all the Supershocks that Colourpop sells, this is a cream to powder formula that blends smoothly onto the skin. Colourpop does several finishes in the Supershock formula, mattes, shimmers, metallic, satins and everything in between. They even do cheek products in this formula but those I don’t love as much as it can be difficult to pick up with a brush. I have used the shades Ritz and So Quiche for years for travel and Sailor has been a great addition to that line up.
How does this product perform?

Colourpop Supershock in Sailor performs like all Supershock eyeshadows. I would still wear this over a primer to help with longevity as my lids just eat eyeshadow if I don’t. So to prevent creasing I would advise going into a clear primer first, let that sit for a bit and then go in with this product. You can wear it by itself, but I have another cream shadow in a darker taupe shade that I love pairing this with. It is Dauphine Truffle by H&M and I used it as a base underneath Sailor in the images in this review.
Should you buy Colourpop Supershock in Sailor?

Sailor is one of those shades that looks unasuming but when you pair it with the right things it can look stunning. It has a fair bit of sparkle to it, which I enjoy and you can layer it over deeper bases for a more interesting effect. By itself this is a great neutral shade, but topped over a darker brown the blue reflect really comes to life. Sailor is a shade I think many cool toned lovers will be able to appreciate.
