Lisa Eldridge has some of the best lip products on the market if you ask me and so I am always curious to test out some more. The Enhance & Define lip liners were launched in matching shades to many of the True Velvet line. So you can match them perfectly. I didn’t. I got two shades that are a match if I want them to be but my intention was to wear them with slightly lighter shades. Let’s review Sorcery & Jazz.

In total there are 15 shades available in this line. If you want more skin tone like lip liners, then there is also the Sculpt and Shape line but to be quite fair I don’t really see how I would use those. So I went with more colorful shades instead. I have the matching lipsticks to these but I wanted to pair them with their slightly lighter lipstick shades. Sorcery with Muse and Jazz with Ribbon: my two favorite shades from the True Velvet line.
Review: Lisa Eldridge Enhance & Define lip liner in Sorcery & Jazz
At €23 a pop these do not come cheap. Lisa Eldridge is a brand that is more luxury so the products are priced accordingly. Can you find cheaper lip liners that are just as good? Yes. For example, the Kiko Milano Creamy Colour lip liners are a fraction of the price but they have a very similar texture and I suspect possibly made in the same factory. So are these unique? No. Are they a very good product? Yes.
What does this product have to offer?

The Enhance & Define lip liners are long-wearing formula. The pencil feels smooth, sets down and turns in to smudgeproof and waterproof formula that makes any lip product last longer. The tip is precise so you can easily define your lips and you can sharpen them to create a precise point to get the lip shape you want. While these match the True Velvet lip colors they are already a touch deeper to ensure you get the defined lip look.
How are these when you use them?

I do really enjoy applying these lip pencils. They glide on, feel super smooth on the lips and are easy to smudge in if you want a more diffused look. You do get a bit of play time with these: they don’t tug and you can use a brush or the back of the pencil to diffuse them for a more softened look. If you want something super sharp that is possible too. For just a lip pencil you do have lots of options with these. I personally haven’t tried wearing them as straigt up lipstick but I can imagine that can work with these just as easily.
What are the shades like?

As I mentioned I opted for Sorcery and Jazz to go with my two favorite lipsticks from the Velvet line. But I also love the two shades these lipsticks match to. In fact Sorcery is one of my other most used Lisa Eldridge True Velvet lipsticks and there are times I even prefer Jazz over Ribbon. So I felt that by getting these two shades I would get more bang for my buck as they would go with not just the shade they match to but also the slightly lighter ones I wanted to wear them with. So these are versatile too boot.
Should you buy the Lisa Eldridge lip liners?

As much as I love these, I do think they are a touch expensive for what they are. Moving forward I feel I will be going with the Kiko dupe rather than this one. That said, this is a lovely product that works very well for me so I will certainly be hanging on to these two shades. A great, solid product and a good addition to the Lisa Eldridge lipstick line for sure.
