What do you do when an indie brand know for their Italian made makeup asks you if you want to try their new blush and bronzer collection? You of course say yes! What’s Up Beauty is a brand that stocks some solid picks that keeps extending the line. At the end of 2024 they finally released blush and bronzer. Say hello to the What’s Up Beauty Cheeque Terre collection.

So I was kindly gifted these bits in PR. The reason why I said yes is because the marbled effects made these look very special and interesting. The lightest bronzer has flecks of lilac in. The lightest blush has bright baby blue. It looks amazing, these feel amazing, so I requested the lightest two of 4 bronzer shades and three out of 4 blushes. Let’s give you my review.
Review: What’s Up Beauty Cheeque Terre Blush & Bronzer
These do not come cheap: at $35 a pop the What’s Up Beauty blushes and bronzer they creep onto that high end price point. For an indie brand I am not sure if I would be willing to pay that much for a single product. That said, the compacts are sturdy and the shades wearable and stunning. What truly sets these apart is the formula though: silky smooth and super easy to blend.
What does this product have to offer?

So in total there are 8 shades available. I am showing two bronzers and three blushes here. The Bronzers are just called Light and Medium. The Blushes are Peaceful Pisa, Serene Siena and Relaxed Roma from lightest to darkest. These look beautiful, feel smooth and as with many What’s Up Beauty products there are made in Italy. Italy is the place where a lot of high end makeup is made. So that these blushes feel like they should be part of an Hourglass or Natascha Denona line should come as no surprise. That’s how good these are.
What do these blushes and bronzers look like?

The only downside to them is that the shade range isn’t that impressive. The bronzers are okay but the lightest one is still a bit too warm for my liking. The blushes is what I am truly disappointed in. In the pan they look like a cool toned pink, a warm peach and a mauve. On the cheeks and in a swatch there is barely any difference between them. So I don’t think it really matters which one you pick up and if you love your cool tones, this range may not be the best for you.
What do these look like in a swatch?

What is really good about these is the formula. This is the smoothest feeling powder on the planet. It’s most reminiscent of a cream formula, but this truly is a matte powder blush. So they outdo themselves in terms of formulation for sure. This rivals some high end blushes and I have only found formulas close to this in very high end to luxury brands. It’s really the shades that let me down.
What do these look like on the cheeks?

Here you can see the three shades I knew would certainly work for me. In the top left is my cheek without any product on. The top right is just the bronzer in light as the medium shade was far too warm toned for me. The bottom two are Peaceful Pisa to the left and Relaxed Roma on the right. As you can see: there isn’t much of a difference between the shades once applied to the face.
Should you buy the What’s Up Beauty Cheeque Terre blush & bronzer?

I think both of these products are of excellent quality. Both the blush and bronzer are pigmented, longwearing, easy to blend and silky smooth. So everything you need. My main reason for not loving these more is because they just aren’t that exciting once on the cheeks. While these look beautiful and special in the pan, they look that special feel once they are applied.
