What can I say about a tinted lip balm other than: I didn’t think I was going to like this much but then I did and it became a staple. So here you go: a full review on one of the most boring makeup products you can find, but an effective one. As it combines color and care all in one product I was surprised by how much I even liked it.
Just recently Glossier released their 10th shade in this line: Black Cherry. So there are lots to choose from. These also come with a scent that corresponds with the name. And when I first tried these in store many of them were far too sickly sweet. But this one smelled best to me. It smells like real ripe figs and the color was one of the best ones in the bunch.

At €21 this is a pricy product for what it is. I mean you can find really good full lipsticks that are even cheaper than this. So do you need to spend this much money on a lip balm? Maybe not. Because not all the shades in the line are even tinted. The best way to get these products is to go online as the Glossier official website ships internationally.
What does this product have to offer?
As far as a classic Glossier product goes, it doesn’t get any more classic than this. I think this was one of the first products I heard people raving about when the brand first launched. It wasn’t necessarily on my to try list, but when I found this shade I still wanted to give is a whirl. It is a lip balm that is definitely on their bestseller list. It is designed to be nourishing and hydrating, while feeling and tasting great.
What does this look like on a swatch?
The only problem with it? It is messy! Whenever I use this the packaging is covered in product so I am forever wiping it off and cleaning it. But the color is pretty. It’s a lip balm so it is going to be sheer and not that noticeable once applied. But this does give that perfect my lips but better effect that I love and because it is a lip balm it is great for the winter time when my lips get dry and chapped.
What does it look like on the lips?
On the lips this gives a great my lip but better look. My lips feel and look nourished and the hydration lasts a long time as well. So I have been loving this for a lot of reasons. Yes it nourishes my lips in the winter time, but the subtle color also makes this a perfect no makeup makeup look.
Should you buy Glossier Balm Dotcom lip balm?
I really love this product but it is terribly overpriced. I love the tint, I love the formula but I have found many lip balms and products that give a similar effect that are far cheaper than this. But is it a good product that gets the job done? Most certainly.
