When I first started buying Moira, I didn’t like a lot of the bits I bought. But I am not someone to give up on a brand easily so when I found some more products that stood out to me, I decided to try some more. One of the products I picked out was the Lucent Cream Shadow. And I have to say: I was impressed with the light texture and stunning shine these have.

One of the best things about this product is that it comes in heaps of shades. With 25 shades available, this is an extensive range. I picked out two: Jupiter and Infinity. Both are cool toned shades that have a taupe/ brown base. They flash silver, pink and blue in the reflect but I couldn’t quite capture that in a picture. I do have swatches up on my channel where you can see what these look like a lot better.
Review: Moira Lucent Cream Shadow in Infinity & Jupiter
Moira is quite an affordable brand, but for me it is best to go to resellers as their main website ships from the US. That can take an affordable brand to more expensive very quickly so I bought these through Boozyshop, but the best availability is certainly through their official website. At €12.95 these aren’t super cheap but they also aren’t super expensive either.
What does this product have to offer?

What Moira promises this shadow to do is a cream to powder formula that glides on and can be used with different technique. Use a finger for more impact or use a brush for just a whisper. It can be layered to create a variety of looks, but both the shades I bought have a shift so I like using them as one and done shades. The formula is lightweight and creamy and therefore easy to use. You have a bit of play time with these too, but I would wear them over a primer to make sure they don’t move around.
What are the shades like?

Since I bought these online I wasn’t sure what these would do for me. Infinity which is the lighter one of the two seemed to be a pretty silvery taupe. Jupiter looked a bit deeper with a pinky flash. Once I got them in, I felt these looked very different from what I had expected, but I like this formula better than I do what I thought they were going to be. The formula is quite thin and therefore easy to sheer out, leaving more of the shine and the shift rather than the base color. Great for a one and done or worn over a deeper base for more dimension.
What do these look like in a swatch?

You can see better what these have to offer in a full on finger swatch than on the lids as they would just sheer out and not be too noticeable unless you turn your head. These are so difficult to have them show up true to what they look like in real life. I feel Inifity is that subtle soft neutral with a hint of silver but it also has a bit of a duochrome to it. Jupiter is more intense, but mainly in the shift: it has pink and blue and is super pretty on the lids.
Should you buy the Moira Lucent Cream Shadows?

I think this eyeshadow is a special one that looks stunning as a one and done. If you like effortless shadows this is a product for you. Apply with fingers for a quick and easy application and just use a fluffy brush to blend it out and create more dimension. Add a bit of liner or a darker base shadow to create more versatility with very few products. Great for travel and great impact, but still sheer and effortless. That’s how I would describe these shadows.
