Let’s do a bit of a throwback! A throwback to the days where I owned 20+ lipsticks by Charlotte Tilbury. This used to me my go to lipstick brand and I still love them. But I decluttered a bunch of shades that I had stopped wearing because I tried other brands that I liked more. But that doesn’t mean that they don’t do nice things. One lipstick I haven’t gotten rid of yet? Matte Revolution in Wedding Belles. Here’s why.

The Matte Revolution line is my favorite lipstick formula by Charlotte Tilbury. The squared off tip makes it super easy to apply and it comes in heaps of shades. Curious to see what shades I used to own? In this older video you can see them all swatched on my lips. Today we are highlighting just one shade: Wedding Belles. This pretty pink has survived several declutters since I filmed this video.
Review: Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipstick in Wedding Belles
One of the reasons why I stopped buying so many Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks? The price point. These are not cheap. At €38 a pop, these are some of the more expensive lipsticks on the market and they have gone up in price quite a bit since I first tried them. My favorite way of buying the brand was during sales and they usually do pretty epic Black Friday offerings, so that would be my best time to buy anything again from the brand if I would.
What does this lipstick have to offer?

The Matte Revolution range is a lipstick that takes the moniker ‘matte but not flat’ to a new level. Before trying this range, I experienced flaking and a blurry look to pretty much all matte lipsticks. They were dry and uncomfortable. But this line breaks with that and it is very easy to wear. Wedding Belles is one of many shades and it was launched with a special wedding collection. It is described as a rose-bud pink.
What can you expect from this lipstick?

The brand claims this shade is great for all skin tones, but be mindful: depending on the depth and undertone of your skin tone this shade will look different on pretty much everyone. If you buy these now the lipsticks are refillable (I don’t think mine is) and they can also be used as a cheek tint.
What does it look like in a swatch?

If you were to ask me why I decluttered so many of my CT lipsticks my answer would be: because the brand only does warm tones. I kept this over Pillow Talk in the end because that looks downright peach on me. However, after trying lots of the brand I found that it isn’t 100% what I am looking for for my overall look. But this is a very pretty warmer pink for the moments where I would like to wear a shade like this.
Should you buy the Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in Wedding Belles?

I think this shade is one of the prettier ones I have tried from the brand. Yes it has a warm undertone, but it is still flattering on. It has a more nude look on with a hint of rose. Pretty, goes with every look and can be worn year round. This is one of those lipsticks that would make for a great everyday lip. Do I wear this a lot? No because my preference lies with a slightly different shade, but boy do I still love the Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks I do own. This review is making me want to try more again (Can you tell I am still on a lipstick kick?).
