When Kaleidos came out with these blushes I knew I had to try them. I first tested out Pale Rose, and today we are doing Pearl Bliss. When I bought these I already knew I would like them as I bought and tried all the shades in their first blush range and loved all of them. With this extension of shades I didn’t feel like I needed all of them as they looked quite warm toned. So let’s see how I got on with Pearl Bliss.

Pearl Bliss is one out of nine shades available. It is described as an earthy hazel with rose accents. That’s what made me want to try it. To me it looks like warmer beige tone which can be pretty for blush but it can be hit or miss. What stood out to me when I first opened this up is how light it is. That is something that Kaleidos is good at doing, so I knew I would probably like this. And I do!
Review: Kaleidos Makeup Mono Blush Alma Viva in Pearl Bliss
This blush retails for around €18 from the official Kaleidos website. This is the only place where you can buy the brand. Kaleidos is an US/ Asian fusion brand that takes Asian beauty trends and translates them for the Western market. If you want to try Asian beauty trends but you’re afraid it won’t be for you, this brand can be a good one to try out instead.
What does this blush have to offer?

As you can see Pearl Bliss looks like a brown/ beige shade. I realize that to some people this may be more of a contour shade and I think you can use it that way if it suits your skin tone. I used it as blush as on me the warmth of the brown shade definitely comes through. This formula is soft and easy to blend. Because of the light shade you can keep layering this to get the desired result as well.
What does this look like in a swatch?

When I got this in I was a bit worried though. It looked so pale in a swatch that it nearly didn’t show up. On the website it is stated this has a mini amount of pearl to them, but I found them to translate fully matte to my skin. So I wasn’t sure this would be for me as I thought it would be too light and too warm for it to be flattering. But then I selected it for my shop my stash this month and I now can say I absolutely love this.
What does this look like on the cheeks?

Here you can see the full effect on my cheeks, but I feel this looks even better in real life. It just adds a bit of warmth to your cheeks but without it being overpowering. It reminds me a lot of a blush I used to wear a lot by Tarte called Seduced. That used to be my go to nude blush and this fits a similar bill. It goes with any look and now my skin is super pale it looks even better.
Should you buy the Kaleidos Pearl Bliss blush?

I think this is a beautiful blush. However it will not suit everyone. Yes it has decent pigmentation but it is simply too light for most people. I mean it barely shows up on my skin, let alone anyone with a deeper skin tone. I like this for sure and it has been a go to blush all month as it was easy to use and went with every look I did.
