It’s been nearly a year since I first reviewed some Trinny London for you. And I got more because I absolutely love these for a quick and easy eye. I keep these front and center on top of my makeup desk so these are easy to reach for if I am in a hurry or just don’t want to do much of a makeup look. I already owned Chalice and Mystery. Today I am reviewing Magician and Hekate.

These two shades were still on my wishlist, but I first wanted to test out the formula of the first two shades before committing. The eye 2 eye is a cream shadow product that comes in heaps of shades: neutral, smoky, metallic and dial it up shades. I now own one of each formula so I have a good feel for the line.
Review: Trinny London Eye 2 Eye in Magician & Hekate
These cream shadows are a high end product as Trinny London is a high end brand. They are sold online and at Liberty’s in London which is where I purchased mine. These retail for €22. That isn’t cheap but these have great packaging that snaps shut so these won’t dry out and they come in so many shades it can be difficult to choose.
What does this product have to offer?

I bought the Eye 2 Eye in two formulas: Magician and Hekate. Hekate is officially an Eyetallic which is the metallic formula which seems to be discontinued. They told me about that in store. And I can understand why. Where the regular Eye 2 Eye formula is soft and creamy and easy to blend, the Eyetallics feel very flaky and a touch dry. They are just a lot looser which makes them more difficult to use.
What do these look like in a swatch?

But as you can see both look stunning in a swatch. On the left you can see Hekate. On the right you can see Magician. As you can see I opted for the more cool toned shades from the line. They combine well and I can play with all four shades I own to create indefinite looks. These do feel very creamy so I feel the pay off can be a bit sheer when you blend it onto the lid. So layering is key if you want more of an impact, but I wear these especially when I don’t so I don’t mind.
What does this look like on the eyes?

In this close up I am mainly wearing Magician all over the lid and you can see: with a light layer this is a perfect one and done eyeshadow. And I love it. It goes so well with my skin tone, it’s not overly shimmery but it isn’t fully matte either. What’s more, once these settle down they last all day which is why my Trinny London Eye 2 Eye eyeshadows are now some of my new travel makeup bag staples.
Should you buy the Trinny London Eye 2 Eye eyeshadows?

I love these little Trinny London shadows. They are quick and easy to use, come in so many shades and just work seamlessly every single day. It is just a solid product. Pricey? Perhaps, but for such a versatile and perfect one and done I don’t mind paying this much.
