My favorite highlighter by Kiko Milano? The Glow Fusion highlighter in 01 Champagne. Love it, have had it for years and I have hit pan on it. So when I spotted this Glitter Baked highlighter I obviously wanted to try it as well. Because I love Kiko highlighters, but also because I usually dislike glitters in products with a passion. So is this any good? That’s why we are here to find out.

This highlighter looks like it is a soft light pink to lilac highlighter with heaps of sparkle. It only comes in one shade and I had questions. How sparkly is this? Is it like a discoball on my face or will it look actually nice? How cool toned is it? Will it be ashy and leave a cast or will it be pretty? So let’s see if I can answer all these questions for you today.
Review: Kiko Milano Glitter Baked highlighter
The Kiko Milano Glitter Baked highlighter is a good product but it is also their most expensive highlighter to date. This retails for €18.49 at full price. And that is quite a lot of money. So I would recommend waiting for a sale with this one regardless of how good it is. Yes it’s pretty but this is barely still within the drugstore price bracket.
What does this product have to offer?

So this is a powder highlighter. A baked powder highlighter. This means it is smooth and easy to use and best used with a brush. It looks very sparkly in the pan (I deliberately took an image in low lighting so you can kind of see how sparkly this is). At first I thought it may be an overspray but it is not the powder is infused with sparkles. Yet, these sparkles do not translate to the skin! YAY! No discoball feature, but a stunning soft, subtle highlighter.
What does this look like on a swatch?

In a swatch the effect is a lot clearer. You can see this is mainly a soft focus highlighter that leans pinky purple. It’s very pretty has a touch of sparkle but nothing that falls down your face and travels everywhere. This lasts all day and looks great even after hours of wear. It mostly resembles the Fenty Beauty Diamond Bomb in How Many Carats but in a powder rather than a cream.
What does this look like on the face?

Again, highlighters are super difficult to capture on camera so I would like to refer you to some of my recent videos where you can see what this looks like when I move my face. Here it just looks like a stripe of white on the skin but in real life it looks like a soft focus highlighter that just brightens up the face in the most subtle of ways.
Should you buy the Kiko Milano Glitter Baked highlighter?

This is a beautiful product. It is definitely different from other things I have tried, but it doesn’t beat my original Kiko favorite: the Glow fusion. This doesn’t make me look like a discoball but gives a beautiful soft highlighter effect. It is also beautifully cool toned. So a win for me for sure. For very deep skin tones this will probably too light and it will probably look chalky but on fair skin and especially for cool tones this is a great one to try!
