A classic K-beauty blush? The Too Cool for School Artclass by Rodin blushes. I see these every time I open Yesstyle and they are always out of stock too. I took that as a good sign of how popular these are. So when I finally got lucky to see my favorite shade from the link in stock I instantly picked it up. Let’s review the shade De Mauve.

Not sure how many shades this originally came in, but it is currently available in six shades. Most shades seem to be ranging from peaches to browns and quite warm toned. But De Mauve is the light pinky/ purple shade that has my name written all over it. It is cool toned, it’s a classic and it’s gorgeous if you have fair skin. Let’s do a deep dive.
Review: Too Cool for School Artclass by Rodin blush in De Mauve
This blush isn’t super cheap, nor is it super expensive. Full price this goes for around €15, but this often goes on sale. Currently this retails for under €10 on Yesstyle. That’s the website where I buy most of my K-beauty products as they are simply the easiest and have the largest amount of stock.
What does this blush have to offer?

There are a few reasons why this blush is so great. First up: this isn’t just one blush, it’s three as there are three colors. I wear them blended together but you could use them individually or a two at a time. It is sheer but buildable in its pigmentation. You can keep layering this for the desired effect without going overboard. It never looks too much and it lasts all day.
What does this look like in a swatch?

First up, in the images online De Mauve looks like it will be the darkest shade. It’s not. It is actually described as a mauve lavender-pink which I think is quite accurate. It is light, has a pretty strong white base that gives it almost a grey cast. This will not work for everyone but if you are very cool toned it will work. In a swatch I was afraid this wouldn’t show up on me but on the cheeks this is very pretty.
What does this look like on the skin?

While this may not look like much I feel it works very well with the rest of my makeup. It just goes with every makeup look I do. Whether I am wearing a bold eye look and I want more blush I can just apply more or if I want something more subtle: this blush works every time. The shade isn’t as white on my cheeks as this is mostly sheer and therefore blends in with anything else you put it with. Warm toned bronzer underneath? The blush will appear more warm toned on the cheeks? Super cool toned highlighter underneath? The blush will pick up on that as well.
Should you buy the Too Cool for School blush?

I totally understand why this is such a classic K-beauty product that has been around for years and still sells out very quickly. This is simply that good. Yes this is totally worth the hype if you are looking for a sheer but buildable very cool toned blush to add to your collection. A very pretty product indeed!
