Haus Labs is a brand that is very much hyped up and seemingly can do no wrong. I liked their foundation and concealer a lot, but will I like the blush stick as much? I love the ease of a blush stick, but this is supposed to be hydrating and plumping at the same time. So will this be as successful? Let’s find out.

The Haus Labs Color Fuse Glassy Blush Balm Stick is available in 8 shades. Glassy Hibiscus is a mauve tone, which wasn’t my initial pick. I actually wanted to try Glassy Lilac but when I swatched that in store it just looked very pink. And we all know, me and mauve blush tones are a match made in heaven. So I decided to play it safe and go with a shade I knew I would love.
Review: Hauslabs Color Fuse Glassy Blush Balm stick Glassy Hibiscus
Haus Labs as a brand isn’t cheap. This blush retails for €34 for 5 grams of product. That isn’t a lot but with most cream sticks you also don’t need too much product. So they can be cost effective even if they are a bit more expensive. That said, this is quite little product for how much you pay regardless of how effective this is.
What does this product have to offer?

There are a few reasons why I wanted to try this: this is a glossy formula. Most cream blush sticks aren’t super glowy and they can even look quite matte. Usually if I want a glossy finish with a blush I have to use a liquid one. So this should give the effect of a liquid blush but in a more manageable cream formula. It even has skincare properties to boot so it should help improve skin over time.
What does it swatch like?

And this is certainly an interesting formula. The feeling of it is almost wet at first touch which is strange for a stick product. The shade is a perfect mauve: it is both warm and cool toned at the same time. There is enough plum and brown to make this the perfect neutral blush look. The stick glides on easily and blending this is very easy. However, this isn’t the perfect blush stick I had hoped it would be.
What does this look like on the skin?

As intense as this looks in swatch, once you apply it and blend it, it is very lightweight on the skin. In fact, I struggle having this to show up unless I go in straight from the stick. And even then, if I blend it out it pretty much disappears. So this image is two layers as you would not be able to see it on the picture otherwise. While I love a blendable product this is just a bit sheer and you need a lot to make it work and then this is just not worth the price point.
Should you buy the Hauslabs blush stick?

While I love the formula of this product as it certainly is different from other things I have tried. However, the color pay off is not as I had hoped. With the sheer formula I need a lot to get this to show up well, even on my fair skin. And with only a little bit of product at this price point it’s just a little bit up there. So I would not repurchase this and if you are interested I would reconsider whether this will be worth your hard earned cash.
