A brand I was really looking forward to trying more of was Rose Inc. It’s a brand that is hard to get though for me, so I picked up their cream bronzer from Space NK on a recent trip to London. Today we are reviewing the Rose Inc Solar Infusion Soft-Focus cream bronzer.
This is not the first time I am trying a Rose Inc product. I first tried out their concealer, which I didn’t love. And sadly this bronzer is the same. I just don’t think this line was formulated with dry skin in mine. This feels thick, tuggy and the shade is way way off.

This product isn’t cheap. At €34.50 this isn’t the most expensive bronzer I have ever tried, but it certainly isn’t the cheapest either. Rose Inc is available through different retailers but the only place I have ever been able to find it in store is at Liberty’s or Space NK in the UK. So those would be your best bets.
What does this bronzer have to offer?
The Rose Inc cream bronzer is available in four shades. Shade Kauai, shown here, is the second shade in the line. The lightest shade looked straight up orange in a swatch, but this one looked okay. The formula is infused with subtle shimmer to help give a soft-focus effect. It contains skincare like ingredients so this product should help improve your skin over time while giving a sunkissed effect.
What does this look like in a swatch?
In a swatch this looked more yellow than orange and I can usually get away with a more yellow toned bronzer. But I realized the shade would not be ideal. The formula feels thin and has a slight sheen to it. Swatched with fingers this feels lightweight and creamy and that’s why I wanted to try it. With a brush however, this isn’t a great product at all.
What does this look like on the cheeks?
Let’s start with a good point: this formula is longlasting and blends beautifully. However, the shade is way off and doesn’t look natural at all. Another thing I don’t like is how stiff this product is in the pan. With a brush it is super difficult to pick up the product and it takes a few layers to get the desired effect. Because of that stiff formula it can be difficult to control how much you apply and it can get patchy in places. Needless to say, there are other cream bronzers I have tried that work a lot better.
Should you buy the Rose Inc cream bronzer?
While I didn’t fall head over heels in love with this product, that doesn’t mean it isn’t good. If you like the shades and you are looking for a natural cream bronzer that gives you lots of control than this can be nice. I think this can be especially nice if you have oily skin and are looking for a cream bronzer to try.
