What would you say to a cheap, affordable and easy to use liquid bronzer that you can buy from the drugstore around the corner? I wouldn’t say no to that, so when my local drugstore launched their own name brand I was instantly intrigued. I decided to try some products and today I am reviewing the Kruidvat Liquid Bronzer.
This product is available in two shades. It is cheap and cheerful and if you are in The Netherlands you will have easy access to it from your local Kruidvat drugstore. The one in my neighbourhood is tiny and they still carry the display with all this makeup. There is also an online store in case you want to throw it in with your regular toothpaste stock up.

One of the reasons I really wanted to try this is how affordable this is. At just €4.99 this is a very affordable product. 010 Dewy Sun is the lightest of the two shades and availability will be difficult if you don’t have access to a Kruidvat store. I don’t know if the website ships anywhere else.
What does this product have to offer?
Liquid bronzer can be a tricky product if you have fair skin like me. I like bronzers, but they are often muddy and don’t look good on me because the shades don’t match my skin. This liquid bronzer should give a soft golden glow and have skincare properties. It can be used by itself as a bronzer but it is also recommended for use as a mix in.
What does this swatch like?
Unfortunately the shade of this product isn’t great. It is far too muddy for me. It looks almost green in some lighting. It is far too warm toned for my cooler toned skinh. It does have a lovely dewy texture. For my dry skin that is good news, but I think if you have oily skin this may not work for you as it is quite a rich formula.
What does this look like on the skin?
On the skin this can easily be manipulated. You can just use the pipette to apply some to the back of your hand and pick it up with a brush for the most natural application. Sadly the shade is so far off for my skin that I really can’t wear this all the time. It just doesn’t play well with other products I wear and it makes my skin look overly warm toned.
Should you buy the Kruidvat liquid bronzer?
I think this product is objectively a good makeup product. It works well, has good lasting power and sits nicely on the skin. The shade just isn’t quite right for me and the formula may be too oily for some people. So it’s not a perfect product but it does have a very affordable price point which is always nice to see.
