We all know I love my Lisa Eldridge Liquid Lurex eyeshadow in Emily. But did you know I bought another shade first? Let’s have a closer look today at Anaïs.
When this range of liquid eyeshadow was first launched my two picks were Anaïs and Emily. Emily was sold out for the longest time, but I was able to pick up Anaïs much more quickly. The reason why I am only reviewing it now? Because I now know that this formula is consistently great and so I want to rave about it once again.
Review: Lisa Eldridge Liquid Lurex in Anaïs
At €23 this liquid eyeshadow isn’t cheap. I definitely think that liquid eyeshadow doesn’t have to be expensive for it to be good, therefore I do think you do not have to pay this much money in order to get a good quality product. But I do think the Lisa Eldridge liquid eyeshadows come in beautiful shades that work very well.
What does this product have to offer?
I mean if this swatch wouldn’t convince you of how pretty this is, then nothing will be. This formula is lightweight, sets itself and is therefore very longwearing. All shades have a beautiful sparkle and different tones that shine through depending on how much you apply and how you blend it out. You will have a bit of time to work this way so you can manipulate it anyway you like.
Why is Anaïs worth it?
Anaïs is one of the shades that stood out to me as it really seemed to be a shape shifter. It is described as an antique pewter with green undertones. The shimmer in this features silver, pink and gold so this can pull warm toned or cool toned depending on how you apply it. Topped over other shadows this can give a bit of added sparkle and where some liquid eyeshadow irritates my eyes when I apply it to the lower lashline, this never does. So I can do a full look with just this one shadow.
What does this look like on the lid?
My favorite way to apply these Liquid Lurex eyeshadows is like a sheer wash of color. You can go in with more than one layer to build up the color and create more opacity. Just make sure you allow the first layer to dry before adding anything on top. And the result of that sheer wash? A soft khaki shade with gold and silver sparkles that makes for a great one and done eyeshadow look that lasts all day.
Do I recommend the Lisa Eldridge Liquid Lurex eyeshadow?
I think these are wonderful. I didn’t give these a raving review at first, but the more I use and try these the more I end up liking them. The shades I have are beautiful against my skin tone, I love the ease of use and I enjoy the way this wears. Is it pricey for the type of product? Yes, but sometimes you just feel like splurging on a beautiful makeup product and that’s what this is.
