FLOATING IN DREAMS

I love fresh, green scents for the summer time. And one that is very very perfect green, yet also a bit herbal and earthy smelling is Guerlain Herba Fresca Eau de Toilette. This refreshing fragrance is one that I love using in the summer time. It is never overpowering, nor heady and it goes well with the brighter, summery weather.

A few years ago when I was really looking to expand my fragrance collection, one thing I was looking for were the more fresh smelling fragrances. Now most fresh fragrance smells like air freshner to me so I was looking for more special things that would not only last but that would also remain smelling nice. This was one of my picks.

Perfume review: Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Herba Fresca

The Guerlain Aqua Allegoria line is quite extensive. There is a full range of fragrances and Herba Fresca is just one of them. This isn’t cheap though, most fragrance isn’t, but this is more expensive compared to other Guerlain fragrances I have seen. I would therefore wait for some money off. A 75 ml bottle like the one I am showing you here today retails for around €100 without any discounts or coupons.

What does this fragrance have to offer?

This fragrance is a simple fragrance that is green and refreshing. It has a sharp note at first, but I feel that disappears quickly. I definitely get more green tea with a hint of lemon rather than any of the floral notes this contains.

Top notes: Lemon and Clover
Middle notes: Mint and Green Tea
Base notes: Lily-of-the-Valley and Cyclamen

This is beautiful and lightweight. I love this for the day time when I go to work as it just smells like rain after a hot summer day. This fragrance is also unisex.

How does this wear on me?

While I love this fragrance for the scent, I do feel it disappears quickly. I can smell this for a good 4 – 5 hours but the lightweight nature of the fragrance means this isn’t going to last any longer than that. So while that is a drawback, I do love the scent enough that I keep wearing it and I just top it up if needed.
