The minute Glossier dropped the Cloud Paint Bronzers, I knew I had to try it. I wasn’t sure about the shade, so I waited until I could visit the Glossier store to make my decision. I have now tried it and I like this a lot but not as much as I thought I would.

I was sure I would love this as the Cloud Paint blushes are some of my favorite liquid blushes in my collection. The bronzer was launched not too long ago, is available in five shades and I purchased the shade that isn’t even the lightest. Why? because this sheers out beautifully.
Review: Glossier Cloud Paint Bronzer in Swept
At €28 for one tube of bronzer you might think that is expensive. However, you only need a little bit every time so that makes it worth it in the end. This can be purchased through Glossier and some Sephora locations. For a while now the Glossier website has opened up international shipping, making the brand a lot easier to get.
What does this bronzer have to offer?

Like the Cloud Paint blushes, this bronzer comes out dark and very pigmented. With just a small pea size amount you can cover every part of your face that you want to bronzer up. It is sheer but buildable and a little goes a long way. It is slightly dewy and still has a good wear time. I can put this on in the morning and it will still look good by the end of it.
How does this bronzer swatch?

As you can see, the bronzer starts of looking very pigmented and dark. But then when you blend it out it sheers out beautifully. It has a good neutral shade in the shade Swept. I picked Swept over Sail (the lightest shade) as that one pulled very yellow on me. This looked most like it could be a good bronzer shade for me in the store. The more you blend this, the more natural it looks. This is best applied with fingers.
What does this look like on the cheeks?

On the cheeks the result ends up being very natural. However, it took me some time to learn the best way to apply this product. That’s why I didn’t end up loving this as much as I thought I would. This cannot be applied with a brush, but it is best applied with fingers. And while I don’t mind that for blush, for bronzer it means it can take a long time. With a brush I find this lifts up my foundation and product underneath which makes it looking patchy.
Should you buy the Glossier Cloud Paint Bronzer?

If you like the original Cloud Paint formula for blush, then I think you might like the bronzer too for sure. Just know that you need to use fingers to apply it as brushes can mess up the makeup underneath. If you stick to that, you should be fine.
While that means I still like this product, I can also imagine that to some this may not be worth it. Yes you get a lot of product, but there are so many liquid and cream bronzers on the market that I don’t think you have to shell out for this one per se.
