Have you heard of 3INA? This Spanish makeup brand is one that is inching its way into my makeup collection. They are a little bit pricier but their aesthetic and vibe are very much my vibe and so much more exciting than many other European based drugstore brands. Their Color Lip Glow in 371 is one of my faves. Let me explain to you why.
The concept by 3INA (pronounced Mina) is a unique one: each product has a number rather than a shade name and you can find products across the line with the same number meaning it is super easy to find corresponding shades in each product in the line. The range is extensive and the packaging is fuss free, minimal but super practical. Their Color Lip Balm is one of their stand out products. Here’s why.
Review: 3INA The Color Lip Glow lipstick 371
At €17 this isn’t a very cheap product. That is perhaps the reason why not more people are talking about this brand. They are mid to high priced at the drugstore. In the UK they are sold at Superdrug, but you can find them online at many European retailers and their official website.
What does this have to offer?
When the Color Lip Glow launched last year I knew I wanted to try some. Shade 371 is described as an electric pink but this also comes in neutral shades, vampy shades and these pops of color. The formula is thin, hydrating and balm like. Not the longest lasting formula but very versatile and great for summer.
What does this look like in a swatch?
Electric pink is a great description of this shade. It is giving MAC’s Candy Yum Yum, but would you believe me that I ended up keeping this over the MAC in my most recent declutter? Not only was my MAC lipstick old and probably expired, this also has a quality the MAC hasn’t: it isn’t super white. Many bright pinks have white to make them more neon but I feel this gets its brightness from the blue undertone making it a great barbie pink shade without it being too pale, yet perfectly cool toned.
What does this look like on the lips?
This is a sheer formula and more like a balm than anything else. So on the lips you do get a good color payoff, but not straight away. And that is helpful because it means you can easily wear this as a wash of color or full on by building up the intensity of the shade. It wears down quickly but it will certainly last a few drinks. The wearing down is pretty as it just fades away, not leaving any patchiness or weird lines as it disappears from your lips.
Should you buy the 3INA Color Lip Glow?
I think this is a great formula lipstick that comes in tonnes of shades and looks very flattering on. It hydrates the lips while packing a great punch of color and the shade 371 is very flattering on. A great bright pink for summer indeed. There is nothing I can fault this on, safe for this being a tad pricey for some people. But then again, makeup in Europe is pricey so I am not surprised this costs nearly as much as a MAC lipstick. But it certainly is worth it and I would be interested in more shades if it would be easier for me to find in store so I could give it a swatch.
