You cannot imagine how surprised I was to find the Soap & Glory Solar Powder bronzer in Boots when I was in London last May. This product used to be my favorite. So much so that I hit pan on it but it was discontinued since then and so I stopped using it and got rid of it in the end. So mark my surprise to see it is now back, in a glowy version but still very much the light bronzer that works so well for my fair skin that I remember it being.

This is available in two shades. I bought Light which is the lightest shade and it is seriously like. It barley shows up on my skin but it’s why it works. It has two sides: a darker, matte side and a lighter glowy side. I just swirl my brush in to fuse them together and the result is still one of the best bronzers for fair skin on the market.
Review: Soap & Glory Solar Powder Glow Bronzer in Light
So I am not just happy that this is back because I love it so much, I also love the price point. At just over £10 this is very reasonably priced product. It is nicely mid range for the drugstore and it is fairly easy to get if you’re in the UK. The only downside to this is the shade range. With only two shades available it is not going to work for people with anything deeper than medium skin tones. Since this is so light I would recommend both shades for fair to light and light to medium skin tones.
What does this product have to offer?

Sure this is called the same thing, but it isn’t the same. There is definitely more glow in this than in the previous version but once applied to the skin this looks and feels and applies like the old one did. The previous version has a different level of pressing in both shades, which meant you picked up more of the glowy/ lighter half than of the deeper, more matte side. With this I feel both sides feel equal in texture and pressing, so I am predicting this will wear down more evenly with use.
What does this look like in the swatch?

As you can see this is light, it is slightly yellow (especially the matte side) and there is a bit of glow. I think the older version was a touch more neutral, but I feel that once on the face they look equal as in: barely there yet still adding some warmth but without it looking overly so. This is soft, glowy and easy to apply. You just can’t do no wrong with this as you can pile it on and it will never look strange. Plus it lasts all day.
What does this look like on the face?

Once applied you can barely tell a difference in a closeup, but when you look at it as a bigger picture it is obvious that just does enough for my complexion. I love how it looks natural, is so easy to just throw on and wear. It may not be the best for me for right now as we are heading into summer and my skintone will change a little bit. But for winter this will definitely become a go to again.
Should you buy the Soap & Glory Solar Powder bronzer?

I think this is a great product: as good as the first version the brand release. Not sure how easy this will be to find as it is sold only where Soap & Glory makeup is sold and that is usually the UK, at Boots. Maybe you can get it online, but this would be worth planning a trip to the UK for sure. Yes, it is that good.
