Lilybyred Luv Beam Cheek Balm

My love for K-beauty knows no bounds and I know they can do good cream and liquid blush products. A brand I hadn’t tried much yet is lilybyred. I discovered them on Yesstyle last year and have fallen in love ever since. This is my review for their Luv Beam Cheek Balm which I bought in two colors.

The Luv Beam Cheek Balm by lilybyred is easily one of the best products I have tried. It is balmy, it is dewy and it comes in quite a few shades. I decided to try two: Mood Rose which is a warmer tone and Cheeky Lavender which is one of the lightest and most cool toned blushes I have used in a long time.

Review: Lilybyred Luv Beam Cheek Balm 03 Mood Rose & 05 Cheeky Lavender

The first reason why I like this is because it is an affordable product. This most certainly falls within the drugstore category price point wise at €7.40 and even at full price it is under €10. And for how affordable these are, these are also exceptionally good.

What does this blush have to offer?

This blush comes in 6 different shades and I decided to opt for two. I first got Mood Rose which is a warm peachy pink that pulls very neutral on me and goes with everything. Because I liked it, I decided to buy Cheeky Lavender as I love a cool tone blush and was intrigued to see if it could work for me. The only thing I don’t love about this product is the packaging. It can be hard to open and I feel I might break a nail every time I do.

What do these swatch like?

As you can see here the product has a lovely, glowy finish. It is also called a cheek balm and that is definitely what this is. The formula melts when you touch it and then can be applied and built up in thin layeers. Mood Rose is my favorite of the two as it has the biggest impact. Cheeky Lavender is a touch too light for me for right now but in the dead of winter I think this will be a nice shade. And where most lavender pull pink on the skin, this keeps it blue undertone: so if you are super pale and cool toned this may be worth a try.

What does this look like on the skin?

Here you can see the effect of both blushes on my face: Mood Rose at the top and Cheeky Lavender at the bottom. As you can see Mood Rose gives a very natural flushed effect that is great for everyday and with almost every look I do. A real staple. Cheeky Lavender is a very pretty cool tone and close up it looks great. In a full face shot (see below) I feel it lacks the impact I would like it to have though and therefore I think this will be better for me when I am a little bit paler. It’s still pretty but perhaps a touch too pale for me at the moment.

Should you buy the Lilybyred Luv Beam Cheek Balm?

I think this is an excellent K-beauty product. It has the longevity I need it to have (no this doesn’t fade on my dry skin) and the color selection is decent and a touch more unique. I like both these shades, the heart compact makes it look cute too and I love the formula. It is blendable, easy to use and buildable so what more can you ask for?
