This is episode two of the big 2024 K-beauty Cushion Foundation Test. I tried the TirTir Mask Fit Red cushion recently and today I am reviewing the Fwee Cushion Glass Natural foundation. This is another hyped up K-beauty brand that I wanted to try more by, so I decided to buy a product that I think looked stunning on other people. Will it look as good on me?
This cushion isn’t available in as many shades as the previous cushion foundation I reviewed: there are 5 shades available. I bought shade 1.5 Peach Glass as that seemed to correspond to shade 21 in other K-beauty complexion products and that is the shade I usually am. And I have to say: I don’t love the shade match, but I love the formula of this one.
Review: Fwee Cushion Glass Natural foundation 1.5 Peach Glass
This cushion foundation retails for around €20. I usually buy K-beauty product through Yesstyle as I can easily get free shipping and don’t have to pay additonal custom fees. But since I wanted to include it in this review series I couldn’t wait for it to come back in stock. So I bought it through Olive Young instead. While the package was shipped quickly, because this retailer is based in South Korea, I was hit with a customs fee upon arrival of the package.
What does this cushion have to offer?
As with many K-beauty complexion products like BB and CC creams I have tried this cushion also has all the added benefits we are familiar with from K-beauty. This has SPF 50 as well as plenty of skincare ingredients. This should create a glass skin effect, while also keeping your skin healthy at the same time. It is thin, yet has a medium to full coverage that feels weightless on the skin. Application is swift with the pad this comes with and you get a natural effect every time.
What is the coverage like?
One thing I love about this cushion foundation is the formula. This is thin, hydrating and longwearing, but it never looks like much on the skin. It feels and looks natural, while also having good coverage. It is certainly more than I normally go for, but despite this being higher coverage than I normally like, I loved how this looked on my skin and wore throughout the day. I wore this on full workdays, during workouts and wore it for over 15 hours on a day trip to Cologne and it never felt dry, cakey or looked horrible throughout the day.
What is the shade match like?
On Yesstyle shade 1.5 Peach Glass is described as follows: “a fancy lively neutral pink beige color for skin tone No. 21”. While the shade match is decent I don’t think this looks like a neutral pink on me. It pulls yellow. It is okay at first when I apply it, but this definitely oxidizes a bit and turns warmer as I wear it. It even looks a little bit green against my skin. So while I love the formula of this, the shade match isn’t the best but I can definitely make it work if I also use other makeup products to complete the look.
Should you buy the Fwee Cushion Glass Natural?
I think this product is definitely worth the hype. It gives the most beautiful glowy, glass like finish to the skin while still giving good coverage that lasts all day and never feels like you are wearing much makeup at all. Shade wise this isn’t the most inclusive shade range and the shades aren’t as described. While I don’t love this shade, I know I can get more use out of this for sure as I just love the formula enough to use this up for sure.
