Finnish makeup brand Lumene is one that is high on my priority list. I tried their Natural Glow foundation last year and it instantly made it to my favorite drugstore foundation list. Will the same happen to the Blur longwear concealer?

I decided to try this on a complete whim. I had no plan, I didn’t look up reviews beforehand, nor did I know anything about this product. I just liked one of their other products so I figured I could try some more. So let’s see how I fared.
Review: Lumene Blur Longwear concealer Light
Lumene is available from several EU based retailers like Lyko or Notino. Not sure if you can easily get this anywhere else. I paid around €12 for this. Lumene is not the cheapest brand but they do have some good products, so if you are happy to pay a bit more, you can definitely look into this brand.
What can you expect from this product?

This concealer looks very unassuming in the tube. The brand describes this as a lightweight concealer with a high coverage and a longwear formula. It should easily blur any imperfections and blend in seamlessly. It has some skincare properties as well so even though the name might make you think this is a mattifying concealer: it is not. It is more of a satin and dewy look for that natural skin effect.
Swatching the product

In a swatch you can often clearly see the texture and finish a product has. This concealer is called the Blur concealer but this doesn’t mean it is matte. Many products on the market with ‘blur’ in their names are often mattifying but this isn’t. It is a full coverage concealer with a very thin formula that is a bit more than I normally go for. The shade Light was the lightest one I can find and it works well for me, but there aren’t many shades in the range.
What effect does this have?

In this before and after you can see what this product delivers. Above you can see my bare skin without anything, below you can see my skin with concealer. You can see that this is thin but still has good coverage. Because of the high coverage yo uneed to be careful how you blend this as it can look streaky. However, it does make light work of my dark circles and it is not prone to creasing in my fine lines either.
Should you buy the Lumene Blur concealer?

As much as I like this, I also don’t count this as one of the standout concealers in my collection. Yes it is pretty, it works and it is as longwearing as the brand claims.
But the fact this is only available in a handful of shades and the fact that is quite full on means I will not be reaching for this much. Even though the shade works for me, it is on a more yellow side that isn’t perfect. And I just don’t love full coverage concealers on me.
Whether you should run out and get this, I feel you would be safe to pass this up but if Lumene is readily available to you and you are looking for a good allrounder concealer: this is worth a shot.
