Did you know Kiko Milano has a cream foundation? Neither did I, but since I love trying the brand I am always looking for new products to try. So when I spotted this I was curious: will this work on my dry skin? Let’s test it to find out.

I didn’t know anything about this before going into it. I have never seen anyone review this so I figured I could take the plunge and try it for you. I have dry/ dehydrated skin and I had never tried a product quite like this before. Let’s get testing.
Review: Kiko Milano Nourishing Cream foundation Cool Rose 15
At the moment this has gone up in price a little bit since I bought it, but it is still available in 12 shades priced at €18.99. Kiko Milano do regular sales so there is no reason to get this at full price. Wait for a sale and you’ll get a much better deal that I feel makes this product worth it.
What do you get with this product?

In my brain cream foundations are dry and cakey messes that can look heavy and are unflattering if you don’t have perfect skin. This foundation is described as a foundation that has SPF 20 that is great for normal to dry skin. It contains skincare ingredients like hyaluronic acid and vitamin C. It is blendable, has a dewy finish, a medium but buildable coverage and is easy to apply. The compact comes with a hidden tray that contains a sponge for quick touchups and application and it is styled in the silver packaging that many of my favorite Kiko Milano products come in.
Let’s get swatching!

Upon first swatch I wasn’t super impressed with this. This feel quite thick and heavy when you touch it and the product looks dark and yellow in the pan. It is therefore no surprise that it looks very warm toned and yellow in a swatch even though this is the lightest shade which is called CR15 (Cool Rose). There is nothing cool about this, but luckily for me, the product performs very differently once applied to the face.
Is the lightest shade light enough?

With CR15 being the lightest shade and the swatch looking so off, you will be pleasantly surprised to see that it may not be a perfect match but good enough for me to get away with. It is certainly too yellow, but it is good for me depth wise and it actually lightens a bit upon application. It blends easily with fingers and can be worked into the skin with a brush for the best result. Definitely with the rest of my makeup done, this product works well for me overall.
Before & after

What effect does this product have on the skin? As you can see this has very decent coverage. My redness disappears seamlessly and looks more natural and evened out. I prefer fingers to apply this as I feel brushes can make this look streaky and a sponge just pushes it around. But a brush can be used with this to finish it off. Shade wise it really looks spot on and you can clearly see here that is not as dark and yellow on my skin as it looks in the pan and in the swatch.
Is the Kiko Milano Cream Foundation worth a purchase?

I do really enjoy this product and I think it is worth the money. However, I can’t really see myself reaching for this more than any of my regular foundations, skin tints and BB Creams. While suprisingly longwearing, I feel it can accentuate my pores a little bit especially if I use powder on top. This being a cream, you have to set it for it to get the longevity it needs to lasts all day.
Is this pretty? Yes. Is it a musthave in your makeup collection? No. So there is no need to run out to get this, especially with only 12 shades available. Based on the swatches there are a lot of warm and mid tone shades, but fewer true cool tones, light shades, but where this truly lacks is in the deeper shade ranges.
