I am not alway someone who usually loves Essence & Catrice lip balms, but this one is nice. It is hydrating and nourishing and very comfortable on. So as far as lip balms go the Essence The Super Balm is a really good option.
This product was launched in the Spring/ Summer collection for 2024. I bought it to have something to put on in my first impression video not expecting much. I have been using it for 2 weeks on a daily basis and have fallen in love with it.

The first reason I like this is the affordability. At just €3.49 this is an absolute steal. For some reason lip balms can be weirdly expensive. Yet, Essence is a brand that keeps things pretty affordable. This has a high end feeling formula with an easy to use applicator and great nourishment of the lips.
What does this product have to offer?
What I love about this product is how hydrating this is. It nourshes and hydrates the lips and it really feels like it lasts hours. So a great product to use before applying other products or nothing at all. It contains shea butter and vitamin E and has a soft pink hue. It has a glossy finish but nothing too intense. So this still looks natural on.
What is the formula like?
Here you can see the effect his has when it is swatched full on. There is a slight baby pink color to the product but it is mostly sheer especially when you apply a light layer. It has a slight gloss to it, but it especially feels very comfortable on the lips. I went on a trip recently and all I wore was this in terms of lipstick and I didn’t have to reapply it at all throughout the day.
What does this lip balm look like on the lips?
While there is a slight pink tint to this in a swatch, on the lips I’d say this looks clear. When you first apply it, it will loook a little bit milky but I feel that once it is sheered out you just have your natural lips and they feel great all day.
Should you buy the Essence The Super Balm?
I think this is a great little product from Essence. It is small, easy to use and a great staple that anyone can use. It has a great applicator, a good formula and it hydrates the lips for hours on end. So what’s not to love?
