Often we don’t have many expectations for products if they are cheap. However, that does mean that sometimes those are the products that end up surprising you most. That’s what happened to me and the Kruidvat Sunny Side Up bronzer. This is a great bronzer for people with fair skin.
Kruidvat is a Dutch drugstore brand that will be difficult to find internationally. However, if you are planning a trip to The Netherlands or can order from the website, know that this is a good one.

At just €4.49 this bronzer is definitely a steal and the brand has more options. There is also a liquid version of this product, but this review is for the powder bronzer. The bronzer comes in three shades and has a lightweight formula that blends very easily.
What does this product promise to do?
The Sunny Side up bronzer has a matte finish in a powder texture. It should warm up your complexion for a natural tanned look. It should blend easily and it also contains some good-for-your-skin ingredients to keep a hydrating look and to prevent the powder from looking cakey on the skin.
What does this bronzer look like in a swatch?
What surprised me when I got this in is how light this bronzer is. So many people with fair skin struggle finding good bronzers as everything is too dark and muddy on them. This is a great contender if you are so fair that most bronzers don’t work for you, because this is almost too light for me.
How does this product apply to the face?
Here you can’t really see what the bronzer does closeup as it is so sheer that it really only slightly warms up the skin for me. That said, it is super easy to apply. I cannot overdo this at all and I can keep building it to create the effect that I want. This blends beautifully with a brush and therefore it is barely detectable in these pictures as it just gives the perfect amount of warmth without it looking like you have applied product.
Should you buy the Kruidvat Sunny Side Up bronzer?
As much as I like this, it is a product that is hard to find if you are not in The Netherlands. Therefore I cannot wholeheartedly recommend you buy this, but it is a good product nonetheles. So if you are in the market for an affordable bronzer and you are in The Netherlands: give it a whirl.
