A liquid blush formula that is easy to use, longlasting and comes in a bunch of shades? That’s what the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch liquid blush has to offer. This review is for the shade Encourage, which is a warm toned mauve.
To my surprise, this is the first time I have graced this product with a review on the blog. I have tried two other Soft Pinch blush shades: Grace and Hope. I liked both, but somehow I never got around to posting about them on here. Time to change that.
Review: Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in Encourage
While this product may not seem like a good deal at first, it really is. Because while this retails for €28 which is a lot of money for blush, you also get a lot of product. This contails 7.5 mls of blush and you only need a little bit for both cheeks. So in the end this is definitely worth the investment.
What does this blush have to offer?
This liquid blush has a lot going for it: packed with pigment in an easy to blend liquid formula that lasts all day, this blush is going to give you everything you need for a great blushed flushed look. This is a bit intense and a little goes a long way but if you use a small amount it gives a beautiful glowy cheek as a result. The formula does have two finishes: matte and glowy and I find the glowy version easier to work with as it doesn’t dry down as quickly.
What does this product swatch like?
After trying Hope, which is a peach, I was happy to find the line now includes a mauve tone. I believe Encourage is part of a recent shade extension. Now, with 12 shades available, there is a shade here for everyone. However, it is good to note that most shade are very warm toned. This swatch is just one dot with the applicator on the back of my hand and it is more than enough product to apply product to both cheeks.
What does this blush look like on the cheeks?
As you can see this blush has quite a bit of impact and glow. But I also love what this shade looks like on my skin tone. It is truly the type of shade that my cheeks turn when they look flushed and therefore it works very well. It has enough color, warmth and flush to them to go with many different looks and for me this is the kind of universal blush shade that just goes with everything.
Should you buy the Rare Beauty blush in Encourage?
With this many shades, it is likely you’ll find a shade in this range that works for you. I love the one in Encourage and also the ones I tried recently. I don’t often buy multiples of the same product, but when I do it is a sign of how much I love a formula. This lasts all day and I love traveling with these as I don’t need any brushes and I don’t have to worry about it once it’s on. A great blush that I think will be loved by many.
