Essence Baby Got Blush review

Essence Baby Got Blush review

The most exciting release from Essence’s new Spring/ Summer 2024 release must be these new liquid blushes. I already reviewed the liquid highlighter here but today we are looking into the new Baby Got Blush liquid blushes.

As the Baby Got Glow highlighter before was a success I am having high hopes for these blushes. Yes they are yet again inspired by the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wands but again these shades aren’t exact dupes.

Review: Essence Baby Got Blush liquid blush 10 Pinkalicious & 30 Dusty Rose

At just €3.69 these are yet again some of the most affordable blush in this type of packaging. The packaging is still as cheap as the highlighter but the shades are pretty and these are a great liquid blush formula as well. So Essence are definitely giving you the look for less.

What does this product have to offer?

I purchased two shades of this formula so I could see if the shade range was at least consistent. I bought 10 Pinkalicious: a cool toned bubble gum pink and 30 Dusty Rose: a warm neutral rosy pink.

This is easy to apply. You can use a brush, a sponge or fingers and the result is always going to be natural. This is pigmented but you can play and build up the intensity to your likely. It has a slight glow and is longlasting on the cheeks.

What does this product swatch like?

As you can see the two shades are quite different. Pinkalicious seems a bit more matte and less glowy than Dusty Rose, but the undertones are totally different as well. There are two more shades in the line: a peach and a berry. So there is something here for everyone and every skin tone.

What does this look like on the cheeks?

Here you can see the shades on the cheeks. On top we have Dusty Rose which has to be my favorite. It is a warm neutral that goes with everything, looks good with every eye look and blends in seamlessly to the skin. The Pinkalicious shade is a little less flattering for all looks but it’s a very pretty cool toned shade that will be great if you love a cool toned pink. It almost has a hint of lilac to it.

Should you buy the Essence Baby Got Blush liquid blush?

I think this blush has to be one of my favorite new releases from Essence. It is an easy to use product and it is so much more affordable than other cheaper alternatives to the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wands. The shade range is limited but I feel there are plenty of shades that can appeal to many different people. Dusty Rose is my favorite of the two as I feel it ties every look together very nicely. A great one to give a try if you are looking for a new blush.
